My Mom Is Pissing Me Off!!!

So I'm Orthodox Christian but it's a little more strict than the normal Christian. Since Easter is coming up we have to fast which means you can't eat meat or chocolate. So I'm fucking starving in the morning and want some good food like toast or waffles but no! My mom says we can't eat anything like that and makes me eat some bull shit oat meal. Then at lunch I'm starving and want something to eat and all I can eat is a fucking piece of bread and water!

Then I want to go to my friends house to hang out and do something and she tells me I can't go outside and have to pray all day! What the fuck is this! Then I ask her if I can go somewhere like to the mall or something with my girlfriend and she again says no and makes me stay home all day!

She basically doesn't let me do anything and makes me pray all day! I'm sick of this!

Then when I try to tell her something she says it's talking back! Then she says that the "devil" is inside of me and controlling me and then she tells me to go pray to get rid of it. Everything I do she refers to god and our religion. I understand that religion is a part of our life but she just takes it too far!

 

Say you want to live your own live and that she is really going to far.

First off how old are you? Second, if you don't want to participate tell your mother that. If she is as "crazy" as you say she will probably get upset, but since you are her child she wants the best for you and if you don't want to be that involved in your reilgion she should honor that. If that doesn't work say fuck it and go to a pizzeria

Now she's saying not to read mean books and to read good books like the bible. I was reading a book with fighting in it and she's saying it's "mean" and making me read the bible all day. This has been happening for the last 3 days. I'm fucking sick of all of this bull shit.

Tell her that you aren't as religious as she is and that you don't want to follow her faith. If she doesn't listen, walk out and don't listen to her. Sorry its so hard for you

If you are truly religious then listen to her but it sounds like you are just 'religious' because she is making you. Try talking to her about how it is wrong to force anything upon you, if she doesn't listen tell her she's ignorant.
