Best professions for a Rogue?

Well i really don't like rogues, yet i hardly have tried one out. So i'm going to roll a blood elf rogue on Warsong. What's some professions that would really benefit me?

 

Herbalism and Alchemy could be pretty useful I can imagine.

 

Leatherworking + skinning for gear!

 

mining+skinning for fast cash but for actual gameplay i would go herb(for healing) and skinning for crit? i cant remember correctly.

 

I think i'll definitely do Herbalism and alchemy for pvp.

 

Blacksmithing / Jewelcrafting

for any class.

Caster's BiS proffesions are Tailoring and Enchanting.

For maximum crit your best combination is Blacksmithing / Jewelcrafting for +65 crit rating

For maximum AP your best combination is Leatherworking / Enchanting for up to +129 AP

The best balanced profession combination is Blacksmithing / Leatherworking: +32 crit and +65 AP

 

JC beats Enchanting.
Tailoring might be better than BS; I don't know much about the cloak stuff since I don't play a caster.

It's actually 160 AP
80 AP from both ring enchants from enchanting. 130 AP from Fur Lining minus the 50 AP enchant that's available to everyone is 80 AP.
And that adds up to 160 AP.

40 crit and 80 AP are the actual numbers.


I took the math from someone on the worldofwarcraft.com forums. The numbers was really off.

I posted the 3 top profession combos so he'll know which to change to when blizzard changes which stats are best (if he's that srs). The top of my post was just saying that JC/BS isn't best for every class. I was right in saying that JC/BS aren't best for every class, however, one of the professions I mentioned was wrong (JC gives 11 more spell power than enchanting, I had no idea.)

 

BS/JC does beat out Enchanting + LW. It's 164 attack power compared to 160 attack power. JC also doesn't give 11 more spell power, it gives 2 more spellpower. The proc rate on the cloak was nerfed, so it's only a little bit better than other professions. Simply put, BS/JC is best.

 

I'm not gonna worry about gems and such till 80, so it's okay.
