Well then, it'd make you hypocritical to not be in mourning for all the other people who die - and this type of thing happens all the time. Unless you personally knew him. Just because he was going to make it to the olympics doesn't mean his life is worth any more than anybody else who dies.

    Ignorant? Haha

Of course no one expects someone who thinks its cool to sit on the internet and talk about the "sickest things" they've seen to understand. 82 countries, 5000 athletes, 10000 media members, 14000 volunteers, 2.3million attendees, the family members, the people who keep track of the olympics at home, and the millions of other athletes not in the winter olympics dedicate their life to sports.

This is horrible, people are saying that it doesn't matter wether he died. What if YOU had a buddy in the olympics and HE died and no1 else gave a shit....

i dont think you're using that term correctly.

ah right, those capitalist pigs providing those damn workers with alternative employment opportunities that would otherwise be virtually unheard of, given the stagnant economic conditions within most of these 'sweatshop' bearing countries.

which budget are you referring to?

Agreed. It's pretty sad all the hard work and dedication he must have done to get into such an event and then to die right before it.

We do rule :) and for those who didn't watch the opening ceremonies. Georgia (Nodar's country) entered without enthusiasm, and Georgia left for home after the ceremonies... Meaning, they are not competing in the Vancouver 2010 games. Datsyuk, what budget do you think he's referring to dumbass. All the money spent on the olympics could be used to even get countries out of poverty, he does have a point. But olympics can't really be stopped, it's engraved in the lives of all human beings, the "olympic spirit". Datsyuk, you're trying to act smart, and it makes me frustrated :)

OT : Very sad, Nodar was just about to live his dream, R.I.P Nodar!

Well moron, he could have been referring to the provincial budget in which a lot of the infrastructure development was funded directly by provincial means. in that respect, i don't think it was entirely wasteful as a lot of these project could viewed as economic stimulus; increased infrastructure results in more jobs.

oh yeah, good point. i never realized how easily third world poverty could be eradicated. well, what are you doing sitting on a computer, silly goose? why aren't you emptying out your bank account and transferring the money to those in need?

    oh ok, I'll stop. :)
