post count does count alot, it does indeed show how much dedication u've put into the account.

Like times before that people have said, quality of vouches is better. I've seen people with like 7 vouches that I'd trust anyday over other people with 30+. On a certain popular blackmarket, there was even a mod banned for stealing(and managing to keep) someone's high level account.

Some people like talking with me/selling/buying, etc with me because if I deem the person trustworthy, I accept to go first. They then know that it lessens the chance of them being scammed because I am taking the risk of being first.

One of the things that bugs me though is those people that join in like the current month and basically have 2 posts and "demand" that you go first. Either they are someone who didn't sign up and has been watching the site for a while(unlikely, but that's imo) or they are just a returning scammer hoping people will be stupid enough to trust them so they can gain more with little effort.(more than likely)

Vouches is the only thing that counts, not posts, posts are easy to get so you will need to have much vouches for more trust i think.

I'm just active, I enjoy posting on these forums. Check if they have a realistic postcount. Not spamming every thread with "omfg nice acc"

Yes, most vouches can be either faked or they're just training vouches. If you're gonna trust someone purely on vouches it'd be best to only trust someone with a very successful shop with many many real vouches.

 

Well IMO I would have to say it depends on alot of things, I think post count matters but if they have 0 vouches, I wouldnt trust them, I think it depends on Date joined + Post Count + vouches just depends.

 

Agreed, which is a major reason why people ask leechers to go first.

 

Been here for a while, not as active, it all comes down to reputation. Nothing more , or less. The best way to avoid scammers, check how well their reputation, across various sites/forums, a simple msn check does the trick for me.

 

Post count doesn't matter. Spam forum reputation does.

Quite honestly, you can simply look at a user's past posts/threads and tell if they're a scammer or not.

If they put a lot of time and effort into their Sythe account, chances are that they won't bother scamming someone for anything short of a several hundred thousand dollars (Which, I'm sure, almost anyone here would do). Anything less is just not worth the effort, blood, sweat, and humiliation of the time spent on the forums.

However, I guess that's not always true. It used to be, I dunno anymore. You're all scammers in my eyes.

I look at post count and join date but mainly vouches yes. But then that contradicts me. Because I'm a beginner MM, and nobody will trust me with 2 vouches
