Picking A Pure

Eh...so I killed RuneScape n' all but I haven't done the PvP part yet...Looks interesting with all the DDOS, flaming, weapons that one hit you, etc. So can anyone give me a list of pures I could make? Don't suggest obsidian maulers/granite maulers, hate em.

 

I would recomend watching some youtube videos and finding out which style you will be first. Do you plan on 1 iteming (noobish, but some people like it), do you want to be an honor pker? Do you want to farcast/rush? After you decide that, you can explore the various types. I personally like to rush, botting up a Dclaw rusher currently.

 

I suggest this, But also you have to decide what you want out of your pure, do you just want to straight up rape? Do you want mega cash? Do you want to farcast? What level of defense do you want and how will you get the exp/quest? Its a relatively large process. GL!

 

Like plznate said, it's preference if you want a mix i suggest making a hybrid, 70 range + and 70 magic +, or a standard pure, 60 attack and 70+ strength

Ofc, that's just the foundations of your account

 

Making hybrids is your best option if your new 70 str 70 range 70 mage mix it up practice choose what suits you.

 

Also try not to do the same mistake again happened to me I quit at 95 range tbh

I would suggest a barrow pure with 60at 99str 70def 99range 99mage 70pray. They are real good atm.

50 att 78 range 72 str

as throwing a morrians javeling followed by granite maul hit n spec is awsome but u hate granite mauler's

so.... simple 60 att 89 str, 99 range 94 mage 31 pray max

 

Whatever type you pick, make sure you do some research and plan it out. You dont wanna miss a quest or make a mistake after a month of training.

 

Well I would have suggested a granite mauler, but since you seem to be against it I'll suggest a 60 attack pure instead.

They're pretty versatile with hybrid stats or just strength alone. D claws if you can afford them, DDS works just fine if you can't. 1-31 prayer depending on what you prefer, 1 defense, 60 attack and XX strength.

When you get bored of that you can always advance to 75 attack for a different experience. My initiate is 75 attack and it dominates most zerkers/pures it's combat level.

Ooh, I'm smart with pures. I believe the ones that do very well are the ones with high ranged or strength. It's either people with 99 strength using DDS special, or people with 99 ranged using Dark Bow special. But a personal f2p favorite of mine is range 2h, but hybrids are good as well, if you have a strategy.

 

I'm already working on making a berserker pure. But I'm quite unsure on what tactics to use in PvP. I've seen some videos doing range/mage and some whip/dds. Which one is the best?

 

I recommend that first you start yourself off with a f2p pure. This style of pking is much easier to learn and have fun with (it's also cheaper). Once your comfortable with this, from here you can move on to 60 attack and see how you like members. So basically to start off with try something like 40/70/1 70 range (for range switch to R2H and KO). Also while your in this build stay with 1 prayer. Once you're confident with yourself try moving up to 80 strength/range with 60 attack and 44 prayer. Prayer is vital in p2p because of all the rushers and pjers you need protection. Some other advice, make sure that you set yourself realistic goals. I coulden't count how many times people have said "I'm going to get 99 strength" and failed. Maybe even open up a progress thread to keep yourself motivated. Hope all this helps buddy.

 

High Range/Mage pures with good Strength are they way to go if you have a distaste for Edge - you will eventually, terrible place - and you want to pk efficiently.

 

eh. idk, berserker pure sounds fun. i botted a d clawer and pking got really boring after the first few hours. so i got 33 def, planning on 45, then i got hacked (2 days ago) tbh im too lazy to recover it i don't really like runescape anyway. but its your choice. i'd go with zerker
