How to avoid scammed.

Well, I am tired of people getting scammed, so I decided to make a guide on how to avoid it.

Follow these steps to avoid getting scammed.

• Dont go first, always use a MM or an OMM, unless you deem the other user as trusted.
  
• Always ask for a PM from the other person, to avoid imposters.
  
• If the trade seems to good to be true, it probably is.
  
• Before trading, run a background check on the persons msn, just hit the search button, for all you know, they could be ban evaders, who are stupid enough not to change the email address.
  
• Check if the account has recovery questions, via recover an account on Runescape website.
  
• Ask to meet ingame, providing a screen shot of the stats ingame aswell, the stats may have changed from there picture on the thread.
  
• If trading accounts, provide them with all they need to recover via there recovery questions, as if they scam, you can recover, and they cannot.
  
• If the person you are trading with has had acusations of them scamming, ask them to go first.
  
• If the person refuses to use an MM or OMM, do not trade, they are most likely scammer.
  
• When dealing with paypal, they have to claim and cancel, as there is a chance the money will get recovered.
  
• If you can, send them the details in a text document, that way you can check there IP.
