Explanation of the trade: No trade, two users are advertising the same name while having threads in the same section aka market manipulation

Alex/Achilles server is advertising two names while having two threads up in Name Sales, this is market manipulation and not the first time they have done this.

in a public channel here in their discord they are advertising the name Charity (don't delete because its literally a public channel in their server) this has been going on for 5 days now without incident

While yes it seems that we have an issue with the RSN being posted twice on Sythe, once advertising our discord, and another by HanChulo the fun doesn't stop there.

First, I'd like to start with our ToS stating VERY clearly that we do not allow users to post their name on Sythe.

"For the duration that your Runescape Name is listed in our discord ( 〔〕community-sales ) you may not advertise it elsewhere. Whether that be Sythe or other discords. Listing in other locations may result in a Sythe report/Removal from this discord. If you choose to delist, you may not relist elsewhere or advertise the name for 14 days afterwards."

While it is unfortunate that this situation occurred it was beyond our control. When chatting with the owner of Charity, he told me had previously asked for his friend to list it which unknowingly lead to this situation.

Once this matter is resolved I will be removing the owner of the name and delisting it from our discord. For the time being I will leave the name up for clarity in this report.



I do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, unfortunately even with cleanly laid out rules clearly this sort of thing can happen. I will double down on the reminders by including a private message via our Discord Bot reminding them, upon listing, they agree to these rules and highlight the cross-posting rule once again.

Are you TOS very clear? Were they directly stated in DMs to the user because having them in some random channel in your server can be easily missed. That's why Sythe has rules in place that a TOS must be agreed directly to in other areas of the market in DMs

This was definitely in your control, the dude was bumping his thread for days while you were also and you somehow failed to notice, thats why this is a repeated issue with you guys. You guys don't even enforce it lol

Alex stressed in the other report @Nemesis made that he would insure this would never happen again. What exactly has changed? You say you will double down but the last time this was brought up you said the same thing so no you havev't changed anything. If you can't prevent this from happening you should stop selling names for other people. You guys make the same excuses here and this is obviously a very reoccuring issue

Please read through the sell here channel of our discord. If you had spent as much time snooping looking for a report as you had reading our rules clearing stated in the channel required to post. As well as to post there is a button you have to press that says you agree to the ToS stated. We have logs of everyone that agrees to said ToS to post AND there is a reminder not to cross post right there.

If that is not looking out for the interests of Sythe and avoiding being the cause of market manipulation then I don't know what is.

We cannot control every users actions. Mistakes happen, and this one is not ours.

 

I'll leave the rest to the Sythe staff members. I believe this will be pretty cut and dry.

 

Damn the salt is real, lmao, my guy you have made this mistake multiple times it didnt take much snooping around to notice once again you guys breaking the rules and being naive. My point still stands were they directly told by you or alex? Exactly, either way your negligence to follow the rules is showing, at the very least selling names for others should be prohibited or you may find yourself in this dilemma frequently especially considering the fact you don't enforce shit
