    Wireless NIC Help?

I got a new computer for my birthday, a while back. We put the old computer upstairs in a spare bed room for the family.

My step-brother brought over an old Wireless NIC card that we've been trying to set up. However, we've been having problems trying to install it.

The information that pops up (when trying to install the new device):

    Code:
    1394 Net Adapter
    SCSI\RAID Host Controller
    A35B9LV1 IDE Controller
I honestly have no idea what that means, Google can't find the last line, and the other lines don't really make sense\help.

We verified that it's installed (physically) correctly.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Can you provide what type of NIC it is or a model number?

1394 Net adapter - everyone has this when connected to the internet

SCSI\RAID Host Controller - thats scuzzi and raid.....

A35B9LV1 IDE Controller - appears as if it has something to do with a hard drive.

I'm thinking that NIC may not be compatible with that PC.

    I use a Belkin.

First, you have to find the computer thats actually connected to the internet modem/dialup. Add the adapter there. Then on your new computer, rightclick on the bottom right corner, the two computers sign, then connect, then... follow the instructions...

    And... I recommend Belkin, I use it. :p or a 3G+.
