Bandos and Dragon Boots - Illogical Stats?

Whats up with the stats on the Bandos and Dragon Boots?

First off, all Dragon Armour have NO Strength Attributes EXCEPT the Dragon Boots.
Secondly, all Bandos Armour have SOME Strength Attributes EXCEPT the Bandos Boots.

Shouldn't these item attributes be swapped (excluding the Prayer bonus from the Bandos Boots?)
Kind of illogical in my opinion, what do you think?

well that goes the same for rune and addy boots. (other than defenders) but I think dragon boots should KEEP their str bonuses... on the other hand bando's boots should get a slight buff too

 

i'm guessing Jagex just wants to balance out some of the strength bonuses.

idk lol bandos boots are pretty pricey for having no strength bonus. i think they should look at that as well.

 

Drag. boots were first so at the time they were the best boots,so they added some nice stats due to public expectation for best things.And when bandos came out they couldnt add more then +4 str,it was to much for a pair of boots.
That's what i think anyway.

 

I'm fairly certain they came out the same time, since it was a GWD thing.

I've often wondered why they didn't give Bandos' Boots some kind of strength bonus myself, but I suppose it's just the way of things. C'est la vie.

I'm all for Balanced Equipment, but it shouldn't be illogical in my opinion.
I think Jagex has a hard time acknowledging their own screw-ups, and they don't admit it. =|

Bando boots are the cheapest bando item to get. Useful for people who do not wish to pay up to 20M+ for a bando item for GWD. Although people in runescape now only see strength, and don't relized that bando boots are teh strongest boots by defence stats in the game. And beside one other boot, this boot is the only boots to give prayer bonus. All this for only a small price of 1mill? Not so bad if you ask me. Don't just think of the number you hit every time you swing.

Also if you relized how bando chestplate, and tasset stats sacrifice defence in order to give strong melee attack. While bando boots is the complete opposite. It is my opion that jagex, although gave bando a great increase in melee offensive stats, still want the set to be balance and have some decent defence. Hence the reason why bando boot is the best boot in the game when it comes to defence and prayer. And why Dragon Boot is the best when it comes to offensive stats for boots.

 

Yeah, you're probably right. Or they could have just done it without much thinking seeing as most of their paying players are too idiotic to think about item comparison anyway.

 

As some have said,bandos boots aren't typically used for the 'stats' but to be a bandos GWD item. And yes it is illogical you are right,but it's jagex.

They are fine the way they are, changing them would just cause confusion.

 

rune boots were str bonus , jagex make the dragon boots following the rune , meaning it would have strength bonus.

 

Adamant boots also have a strength bonus, making them a practical PKing item. But I just recently saw some guy ranting about something similar to this on the RS forums. He claims that the fighter torso and the Bandos chestplate strength bonuses should be swapped, simply based on the price. Bandos is like 20M, fighter torso is practically free. The only reason it's so expensive is because the players make it that expensive, same applies to dragon boots and Bandos boots.
