I totally agree with you. I have seen rules on steam traders threads where they say that if the accounts is recovered or disabled, they will not replace it.

 

ya i know right? seems like a complete scam

 

This is because 80% of steam sellers sell phished accounts which aren't their's. The original owner gets them back after a few days, so they sell before then. Thats why you should buy legit, or buy off people who will replace.

ALL STEAM ACCOUNTS should be guranteed safe by the seller, its like me selling a runescape account and saying, if pass is changed, tough luck.

 

I personally don't deal in the Steam market, but it's the exact same thing as RuneScape membership sales which was recently changed.

Support! I mentioned this when runescape "disclaimers" were taken down but nothing was done.

Make sure you get the seller to agree to replace the account or refund you if you incase the account goes sour. I've bought a few steam accounts and of that only one hasn't been stolen.

 

any mods can respond to this? its actually a pretty big issue in the steam trades section of the site

agreed 100%, ive had two recovered steam accs. and ones trying to recov his atm, keep getting email notifications of him trying to recover pass lol

 

U got my SUPPORT, Mods should check evry account thats on sale.

 

I don't think sythe actually supports the sales of non-runescape stuff or something along the lines of that?

There's not really an easy way to prove a steam being taken back anyway..

 

sythe supports all sales they wouldnt allow you to sell anything else if they didn't... but i did buy 1 account and it got disabled like 1 day later which was homo and ye that suks lol i support

The part about making sellers liable to replace recovered accounts or have them make sure its completely safe before selling.

 

Hope you know how stupid this is though... it's impossible to prove if your steam account has been retrieved.

So if you made this a rule you'd lose a lot of sellers because it is possible it will get retrieved, there is no way in guaranteeing it won't ever unless you have orig email and PoP, or it's a legit account.

So IMO just stop moaning and buy the accounts which come with original email or proof of purchase.

 

Then the accounts which can be easily recovered should NOT even be sold. Otherwise, its just a pure scam.
