Do you honestly care about Haiti?

Spending Millions or hundreds of thousands on homeless people in another country where they're stealing the supplies we send? Stop homeless people here and feed kids here and help families here. We need to help America.

 

I do care, but I personally haven't sent money out to aid. I hope that the losses can be minimal and some hope can be salvaged from the country.

It's nice to see the world actually coming together for a common goal, albeit it's a tragedy, rather than fighting over the smallest things.

Well well well... Mr ignorant himself. How on earth would Haiti help out Americans during their terrors attacks/disasters? Look at the difference of the two countries you cannot even compare them to each other, much less say because they didn't help us, we shouldn't help them.

Do you think the people of Haiti asked for this? To lose families, lose houses, jobs and whatever security they had??? Just because they live in Haiti does that make them less of a human being compared to you??? Why should everyone rush to your country to help you (a country which can support itself) yet, because these people live in Haiti they are less of a human being compared to yourself?

Where are you getting your "facts" from? If your going to quote "homeless people stealing the supplies we send" back it up with some evidence, because if you actually read the articles and news reports or even WATCHED the news instead of being ignorant and thinking you know everything like some people your age seem to think. If you read an article or two you'd find out that they are looting shops and building to get whatever food and supplies they can, as help has only just started getting into the affected areas. FYI They are not just "your" supplies (which you are claiming are Americans i guess... ignorant much?). They are supplies from all around the world, even the French are down there, but let me guess... you didn't know that, because you have no idea what you're talking about.

It's impossible not to show compassion towards the Haiti people however, I have not donated because the organizations that collect donations do not pass on the full amount, and I doubt it would even go towards the affect areas, where it needs it the most. I have brought tin foods and given heaps of clothes are stuff for organizations/groups to send over there, I think that is valuable more than money towards Red Cross for example.

Remember, they are human beings (like me and you), it's not their choice of where they were born or live, or how corrupt their government is... What about the many children killed, tourists... and so on, these are HUMANS! If you don't have some compassion towards the devastation towards them; then you are truly a heartless, soulless, selfish asshole

 

To be honest, No. If the government cared a little more, they would of used the money they had to make a safer country.

I don't care because it's far away from me and truthfully, despite the massive amounts of money given to help the situation before the earthquake, nothing gets done about the problems. They need better systems and government. Also, when many people start going over the top about issues, in this case, the condition of the people after an earthquake, I really start to get pissed off. It's the government's fault (haitian gov) that the place is a wreck.

 

Before the earthquake the government was in the most stable state it had been in for a very long time, the corruption is nowhere near as bad as most of you are implying. If you really care but don't want to give to the government, donate to Medicins sans Frontieres, where the money will actually be used to help people.

 

See this is what I don't get. You post and post calling us ignorant but. What if honestly the people not sending donation just don't want to send money? How are they ignorant? Ok my facts might be false yes I havn't read up. Because I don't care.

 

If going by what I heard on what I believed to be factual news, I'd disagree with that one sir.

 

I guess there's nothing we can really do about except for donating money or going to Haiti and helping them.
