Do you honestly care about Haiti?

Truthfully no I do not care enough to try to make a huge difference, if even possible. I have donated $10, though.

No i do not care, it has nothing to do with me, nor the people i know, i donate money to things that do involve me in some way.

 

This. I may be living better than those people were, but I don't have the money to spare to someone I don't know. There's plenty of wealthy people that are donating.

 

Honestly people did not care before and some don't care now, the U.S did raise $210,000,000 USD.

 

I feel bad for them, and if i had a lot of money i would donate. but there is nothing i can do..

What if a country that accepted gays (LOL French FTL) was in the face of disaster, and everyone wouldn't help because %25 of the pop is gay, that wouldn't make any since either? Perhaps you could learn a little bit about why Haiti was in such a terrible state before the quake.

If you're too lazy to read, it's partly because the US and France lent money and charged exorbitant interest rates, to the point where in the early 20th century 80% of the country's GDP was being spent on interest. This obviously led to a complete failure of the government, which brought about multiple violent revolutions. Maybe if for once you people could read before you post you might have a different opinion.

When was the last time you walked down the streets of Haiti? My first time was over 15-years ago.. Not even gonna ask your age.. I'm very curious as to your personal ground experience with the people of Haiti? I also almost jumped into this little part of the world as part of a military force so I'm also a little more informed as to the real issues. In short, if you've not walked the ground then I would say you also have no clue what you're posting..

 

I care, but I'm not going to do anything about it. We all feel bad that people's harsh lives just got worse, but why bother trying to help. If you donate to an organisation and money actually makes it over there, well that pretty nice.

 

No. The weather and earth does not make us selfish ignorant bastards. Did haiti help us when Katrina hit? No. Did haiti help when 9/11 struck? no. Did haiti help when anything happend? No. So no. They never help us why help them.

Well that's because they don't have the money to help us. That's like saying you shouldn't feed a baby because it doesn't feed you...

Helping people shouldn't be about getting something in return, that's not the point.
