    They can if they want.
I know tons of parents that have Facebook. It's a social networking site so why shouldn't they be allowed to use it?

Its for whoever wants to use it.

Well obviously you don't know how FB works... They can't just randomly start talking to your friends without A) Your friends adding your parents or B) your parents adding your friends. As to your parents posting personal information about yourself, go talk to them about it. Not whine about keeping 'parents' off facebook. BTW, how do you even implement that? A questionaire?

Yeah, I don't care. My parents are cool, I don't have anything to hide from em. I tell em when I am going to parties and stuff, I'm like "Ma, dad, going to a party I will be back at like 3AM or so." "Alright, be safe." "Will do." I'm also a good kid though, I know my limits with stuff.

What a fucking stupid question... It's like saying should parents be allowed to leave the house in case they see their children.

    Yes, why not?

They are Social Networking sites, they are for any age, not just teenagers.

They definitely should. I know a lot of people in my family that have those accounts, which sucks because i can't post everything i want. But what about teen parents?

It can be annoying but it all comes down to they can do what they want, and why in the world would facebook/myspace prevent parents from making accounts? That just means less users and less $.

First off, Facebook were made by college students for collegestudents, and not for kids, second off I think that anyone should be able to have a Facebook/Myspace account, not that im a fan that my beloved mother can spy on my weekend activities ;).

    FaceBook is for people 25+.
    MySpace is for teens.

EDIT: If you don't want your parents/relatives seeing what you post...
Make one account where you add all of your relatives then make another one for your friends.
    Problem... SOLVED! ;)
