How to Jailbreak Your iPod Touch

Introduction
Hi, my name is Nick and I am going to show you how to Jailbreak your iPod Touch. This guide is extremely easy to understand and I'm sure you'll be able to have your iPod Jailbroken in 5 minutes after reading this guide.

What is a Jailbroken iPod
Jailbreaking your iPod can be really useful. If your iPod is Jailbroken, you can download themes, free apps, tweaks, etc. This is really easy.

As you can see, it's pretty sweet having one. I'm going to show you right now!

Let's Start!
Step 1

Go to www.blackra1n.com and select if you are windows or mac and download the file that shows up (Blackra1n.exe)

Step 2
Run blackra1n.exe and click make it ra1n


Step 3

It should say 'waiting for device.' Now, plug in your iPod and close iTunes when it opens. When you plug it in, it should say running, entering recovery, etc. When it's done (usually about 10-30 seconds), a message will appear saying your jailbreak is done. You don't need your computer anymore.

Step 4
Get your iPod Touch. Connect it to your Wi-Fi network (you need one, if not, you can't jailbreak it unless you go somewhere else).You should have an app called blackra1n:


Run the app, and you should see 2 packages, Rock and Cydia. I recommend you using Rock, but you can download both if you want!



Step 5
Once it downloads, it should install the apps that you downloaded (Cydia, Rock). Open Rock. It should ask you to update and to download some packages that you need for the app to work, install them. If it tells you to save all the apps and themes you've downloaded, click NO. Go to the categories section and you'll be able to see apps, themes, etc.


You can download them with Wi-Fi, once you download a theme, an app called Winterboard will appear. This app allows you to activate themes, etc by running the app and checking and unchecking the names of the themes.

I like your guide but check This out, your guide is simpler but maybe try and make it a bit more in-depth like benefits and such.
