Quick question

Okay so i was talking with xel on msn about the virus my computer has,it blocks alot of sites including almost every anti-virus site (avg avent etc) What he told me to do was boot in safe mode but then i had to go.

So is this what i do?

1.Boot in safe mode
2.Download and run avg to delete the virus.
3.Start up in normal mode and its done?

 

Ya but id get malwarebytes also while you were at it.


Safe mode only uses the absolute vital things to keep your pc going.

 

disable your internet and boot the AV from a USB flash drive or External...

Also when do i press f7 and to go into safe mode i've been holding them and it doesnt work? (windows vista)

 

Boot into safe mode until you find and remove the threat, then you can boot normally again. Booting in safe mode will disable any programs from starting up when your computer starts up, meaning the virus won't start either (hopefully).

 

So the list i have up is right? I sure hope so im going to try this tonight or early tommorow morning.

 

When i boot in safe mode i cant access internet to get to avg?

 

Enable safemode with networking enabled.
