Scammer Section

I've joined the forums from RSBot.

I had a look at your market structures, especially at the Scammers Section.

What worried me, was that there are 28 pages of filed Scam Reports. I haven't seen anything like this before.

The reports get accumulated pretty fast, and Sythe has two moderators assigned to the Scammer Section?

If you want change, you can't have 2 moderators taking care of the exccess flood of reports.

 

But scammer reports take time to do..

More moderators = more people bored of doing them, there isn't really a fix for it I don't think.

 

the assigned moderators are just sectional mods that have permissions in the forum, every global and admin has full permissions in the forum, sectionals aren't often given the permissions because they lack the ability to use some of the important tools that globals can use, such as perm banning.

 

At RSBot we had Super Moderators.

Yes, not everone did them, but we, as the Staff took care of the Scammers ASAP.

It's just a suggestion. Perhaps, assign the Scammers Section to other Mods?

Edit: Alright I understand, but Either way I don't see much activity gooing sround there.

I mean if a scammer gets reported, the Staff doesn't take a look, he gets away for the time being.

 

if they want the permissions then they can ask for them. we're not obligated to do the reports so they're usually only supplied upon request.

 

Then thing that worries me mainly about Sythe is the fact that there are lots of scammers.

If we want to deal with them, earn positive rep, something has to be done.

 

Nobody really has the incentive to sort all the scamming out if you ask me.

 

It's not about being bored.

Moderating isn't easy, people have to be up for the job.
