IP Banning + Blocking.

Ok, you can all stop commenting on this now, it was resolved weeks ago and Sythe + the admin team got to the problem pretty quickly so a big thank you to them and their work.

 

You might have accidently been blocked, or it could have been your firewall settings.

 

Thanks Tyro, it might of been because I had more than 1 tab trying to refresh Sythe.

 

as tyro said sythe has scripts that auto ip ban computers trying to open too many tabs on the site to avoid DDOS

 

The tabs don't affect it.

 

Yes they do, Sythe has a script that if too many tabs are open, it will block you're ip due to DDOS.

 

That's interesting. You claim to be new to the community yet you're privy to that little bit of trivia.

EDIT: As previously stated, tabs have nothing to do with it.

 

Sythe slows down each tab u open....never have more then 2 open...

I always open multiple topics with tabs an i've never had problems.

 

This could be solved by restarting your router, or resetting it. Walaaa, new ip.

Even staff get blocked, and we all know it can be annoying - but, usually, the unban requests are handled pretty quickly. If not, you just have to get by on a proxy for a while. It's unfortunate, but we wouldn't have the script if it weren't necessary. I've seen Sythe turn it off, and the site crashed almost immediately.

 

I've been blocked myself, mine got unblocked in about 5 days. Best of luck getting unblocked.

 

I've been blocked for the past like week. No biggy. Just wait it out; also, it sorta does have to do with tabs/loading, etc. If you're constantly loading Sythe over and over, lets say different threads, etc, it will detect you loading like 50 different times in a minute and think you're trying to bring it down. I think?

Never blocked but never will be as I am on 2 different i.p.'s at 2 different places almost everyday.

Proxy programs work wonders if need be also.

 

Spoof your router's mac address. It isn't a good way to change your IP, but it gets you past the IP Blocker.

 

I may not know anything, but I agree with: xeleration. He's right, It's nothig to do with opening Two tabs. Secondly It could be the Wireless Router, You should try Switching it off and On, It may work.
