    Hide certain information in threads for guests
    As a DNT member who does not have access to the market, I've noticed that I can just log out and see everything on the market. What if we hid contact information or information inside of threads within the market from guests? This would force users to sign up and also stop those scammers who lurk to try and scam members of this forum.

    Approximately 1/4 of the visitors is logged in. It's ridiculous to assume that the remaining 3/4 would log in / register an account. Some of them would, but not a significant amount IMO. You can assume that most of the guests are customers, who don't need an account, but sythe need them to shop around, as this is predominantly a market forum. This would be bad for business and what for? Nothing is stopping scammers from registering an account.

    Idk. A lot of successful sites require users to have accounts before purchasing/selling things. Not to mention it only takes a few clicks to create an account.

    Yes scammers will still create an account but this will force them to have to user their IP. Eventually making it harder for them to scam because they will need to use a VPN/Proxy going forward.

    Also why keep these users as guests? Why not bring in new members?

    Isolating the forums from the open / public internet is a very good way to reduce traffic and lose users, if people want to get involved they'll register an account on here as with any website, same as its always been.
