I think it's noteworthy that people do report a lot of things they see, one of these many things are gravedigging and personally I find it very annoying that you come across some threads that "seem active" but have actually been bumped due to someone who scrolled maybe 10-15 pages backwards and decided to comment them with a price or such

Need some work done - this is one example I can give you, thread was made back in November, guy comments 4 months later asking if still needed

another example I can give is pretty much all recent activity in the OSRS levelling section from both @Alpha store CS and @Arkanos of which i'd like to point out have done it multiple times from threads that are currently on around pages 5-10 Oldschool 07 RuneScape Skill Training for example you can find from Ark

By no means is this throwing shade at them or attempting to bad name them, but I do feel that we could have a sticky put in place with a example of let's say you shouldn't comment on a thread if it's beyond X-date and such, as a service provider I understand wanting to get more and more work in a limited area such as this forum but I cant imagine the staff want to be putting up with private reports every 5 seconds of the day either, so this could serve as a possibility to help both understanding

Yes, don't worry, but it's so you can see that they do their job and you're absolutely right, a thousand apologies for that... don't worry, I know it's nothing against me, it's good to learn from mistakes

 

That I can agree to, a lot of threads in general do get bumped when they shouldn't in the marker

 

I think gravedigging should be extended and/or up-to staff discretion. The forums aren't active as they once were, and we should not infract someone from posting a relevant post on a thread.

For example, I recently saw a post on a two-year-old thread that was an update on someone's 07 question, and they are technically gravedigging, but I don't think they should be infracted or have their post deleted for such.

 

Infracting on something that's on the first page but may be old I get that 100%

Going towards 5-6-7-8 and onwards pages (20 threads per page may I add) however, that's just meh lol

Again, this isn't to throw shade at people as business is business after all, and we're all here for the same thing but when it comes to actually going above and beyond to go many pages behind or not even checking if the thread is still active to begin with it just becomes spam and gravedigging

yeah I agree with you there, I don't think everyone knows (I wont go through reporting posts either, that's just dumb) so with that being said maybe we could have a sticky/pinned saying the same or further explanation in the next update to the forums idk

Like we could have something linked to it or such, not saying warn people and such, just give them like a verbal warning of 0 points and link them to the thread or something if continued idk how we could go about it fully as I don't want staff to have to be burdened by it either
