I think giving out free accounts shouldn't be allowed. The original owner can easily recover the account from an old membership pin, e-mail, or any other info. When these people give out their account, they expect other people to raise the skills and get money on it.

A person can put in lots of work onto the account, and the next minute, their account is taken back.

I think giving out free accounts shouldn't be allowed.

I agree in a way, but if most people do as what you said. And the rule was enforced. There would be more threads of people selling fairly decent accounts for next to nothing, then recovering them later. Taking not only the buyers time, but their money too.

Accept it.... If you think they will recover it, just let it sit.. And wait until you feel that it is safe to have...

I was just going to say that. If you feel an account is unsafe why the hell would you play on it?

    I support this.
Many members give away free accounts for vouches and later on take the account back.

Free accounts usually suck, and just get traded for stuff, or get money transfered. It's their fault fot accepting the account, and if the owner trusts that a stranger is going to train it for them, then they are either stupid, or don't want the account.

    This pretty much answered it.

If you going to accept a free account and spend your time on it then it is your responsibility to take the fact that they can recovery it back into consideration. If you don't want to take the risk then don't accept free accounts.

I disagree, I believe that it's a freebie and certain risks are assumed the instant the proposed item is accepted.

    This.

Even if we made the rule, a user could as easily sell an account for $1 as give it away for free. It's not really something we have much control over, and there are legitimate giveaways.
