Go to Start > Right click on My Computer > Devices > Show Devices

Under the monitor tab, what do you see?

As you can see theres no display tab:

maybe the system restore has something to do with it cus my sound card, video card and display devices dont show. System restore removes everything and puts it in its original state i believe.

System restore rewinds your system to an earlier state. Unless your last restore point was before you installed drivers, this shouldn't have been a problem.

Those devices with uninstalled drivers shouldn't affect your monitor.

Keep that screen open, unplug your monitor, and plug it back in. See if a display tab comes up.

Also, are you using onboard video?

Ah gotcha. This still generally isn't an issue because monitors are mostly PnP (PlugnPlay). Did you try the above suggestion?

I unplugged my monitor and nothing changed on that device screen. I think it has something to do with my graphic card. cus it doesnt show up on that list, the graphics card is on comp but does not show any info

I'll summarize r33l's link for you. Install video drivers and update Direct X.

If you need help finding links for driver files and Direct X let me know.

(I still think it's something else though, if you performed a Windows Update and you're using a high resolution.. I think you would have those files).

EDIT: Ignore the above, install your video card driver.

    It's fine.

Can you check what model the onboard video is? If you have your motherboard model I can check for you as well.

Or, look for the disk that came with your motherboard.

I see. I could not find a "Tower" version of the computer you specified. You may have to call HP and ask what kind of onboard video came with your computer.
