How do you guys make your money?

I never have anymore than 4k at one time. I know certain people have like 50k+.

Anyone know any good ways to make that kind of money?

 

You can play with the AH. Use something like auctioneeir addon or whatever it's spelled

I buy 10K gold a week from farmers.

 

Like stated, there's gold farmers and there's others that use their professions to their advantages to farm the materials and ultimately make a prize that could end up benefiting them for the better with a mass amount of gold. Like for instance, I use to use tailoring when I played and ended up gradually making stuff (NOTE: all prior to WOTKL, mostly BC) like bags and selling them. Mostly netherweave. It wasn't the best, but it ultimately helped me get to the epic mount. I don't know, it's your own way of seeing it. I can't help as much anymore cuz I don't play anymore. Good luck.

 

you can buy gold from farmers. its actually pretty cheap.

 

I used to use blacksmithing to buy the mats on AH for eternal belt buckles and just sell them on. No farming required

 

I have 450 mining. I find it very, very tedious to mine in Northrend. On my realm ooze-covered thorium is the same price as saronite, if not more. To boot, it's a lot much easier to get it! I got 450 mining when I was level 71, believe it or not, but I'm not sure how mining for an 80 is but, I know I'd constantly get raped by horde cock, and racing other people to get the ores (without a flyer, mind you). Ooze-covered thorium can be found in Silthus in the bug caves. Good luck!

 

It may seem not very good moneymaking, but solo scarlet monastery (all parts) and you can make a pretty good amount of money a couple 100g/hr

 

It's mainly noted as the best place to farm huge amounts of silk cloth if you're leveling first aid or tailoring. Stack prices vary from realm to realm.

 

I have a traveler's tundra mammoth, 20k gold, and 3k in items (non soulbound) right now. I'm fairly good at making gold.... here's what you do:

Do heroics.
Convert the emblems to heroisms.
Buy ametrine/dreadstone.
Sell the ametrine/dreadstone.

That's not all I do, but it's the simplest.... it's how I make most of my gold. You will find yourself very wealthy if you do that frequently.

And here's something else that's just as important, if not more important... don't buy stupid shit (like a mammoth). Getting gold is only half of it, you also don't have to blow it.

 

I do 15 dailies every day, and early in the seasons I grind people from 0-1800 for 2kg a person. I'm currently sitting on 22kg on my Rogue and 3kg on my Priest. It's not too much, but I have 7kg lent out to a friend who bought his Mechanohog.

Edit: whenever the prices are right I'll buy epic gems and cut them if I'm getting a 25g+ profit per.

 

This is similar to what I do, I do heroics and get epic gemstones, cut them and sell them on the auction house. I make around.. 2-5k every 2 weeks playing the AH this way on my realm. Sitting at 27k solid on my warrior, it drops down to 26.8kish every time I raid though, but always hops back up.

 

I just farm for 5hrs or so a day. Normally make about 900g/hr. You just need to take time to find out what's high in demand and price, that can be fairly easily farmed.

 

Grind dailies, run heroics...

When I used to play, I used to farm herbs and mine (two gathering proffs I know), and I always seemed to generate gold pretty fast.

 

Fishing. (Not joking >.<)
And buying gems with badges/honor then selling them for about 180-200g each.

 

I took up jewelcrafting, got it to 450. Great combination with my 450 mining.

Been making good money mining titanium and prospecting it. You get a a lot of epic gems.
