    Can somone help me get a .gif avatar? I have one i want but its more then 80x80 so i resized it in photoshop but when i use it as avatar it doesnt animate?

    Heres the avatar:

    Also,when i resize it i saved it as a .gif so idk whats wrong.

    I don't think simply naming it .gif will make it one.
    I'm not sure how you make .gifs smaller but I'll try and find out, maybe there is a program for it?

    Well i've heard photoshop can do it idk though.

    And i didnt name it .gif silly. :) i saved it as a .gif.

    Photoshop,just opening it then changing image size.

    I used the smiley generator you posted,saving it as a gif in photoshop ruined it somehow idk.

    Saving it as a .gif in photoshop saves it as a still image.

    There is a way to keep it animated though.. let me rack my brains.

    Ah I remember it now. It used to be you could import the .gif into Imageready using the Import Frames to Layers option. They got rid of ImageReady though.

    You can try Macromedia Fireworks if the need ever arises.

    After you resize the image to what you want. You will need to go to File>Save for Web & Devices, and adjust the settings to your liking there and then save it. This should keep the image animated, atleast it does for me.

    I had the same trouble before, and this worked fine.
