HOW TO SSH TRANSFER ON iPHONE

This guide is for a Jail-Broken iPhone.
You must be connected to a wireless network!

Secure Shell (SSH) gives you full wireless access to your iPhone from your computer.
You can customize, change, add, and delete files on your iPhone from a computer.

First download " Automatic SSH " and " Toggle SSH " from Cydia on your iPhone.



Then download " WinSCP " from where ever you prefer to get downloads on your computer.....



Once completed downlaoding all 3 things
Open WinSCP...



Where it shows Host Name put your iPhones IP address.

To get the IP address on iPhone tap...
Settings > Wi-Fi > Network Name



Now back to WinSCP
For the UserName " root " and Password " alpine "
DO NOT CLICK LOGIN YET!



Go to the " Toggle SSH " app on your phone and tap on ENABLE.



That allows your computer to access your iPhone.
Keep your iPhone ON and screen NOT LOCKED!
Then you can click Login on WinSCP.



Now you have access to everything from Icons to Ringtones on your computer!
Allowing you to change, modify, and delete things you normally can't on your iPhone!

I gave your guide a 7/10. If has a clean feel and images are well cropped. You may have a few conventions errors here and there but nothing that is extremely glaring. There are a few things I think would make your guide better:

1) Explain why Toggle SSH is necessary. As long as OpenSSH is installed via Cydia, you can connect easily.
2) Add on that users should consider changing their password from alpine to something else. There are exploits going around that work off users not knowing their default password.
3) Expand on the various things OpenSSH can do for your phone and show where they go. Users who are new to jailbreaking and customization will be lost when they see the various directories on their phone.

 

Thanks for the advice, most of that was self Explanatory.
If they are new to Jail-Breaking, they already made it through the hard part.
They can change the password if they want, I simply told the default password.
And I did not think Navigating the folders was hard enough to need a guide.
But your probably right. Thank you X.
