    Visual Basic 2008 Introduction:
Be sure to rate and comment.
Visual Basic 2008 is the latest version of Visual Basic Created By Microsoft. It is almost similar to Visual Basic 2005, and Visual Basic 6 but it has added many new features. Visual Basic 2008 is a full fledged Object-Oriented Programming(OOP) Language, so it has caught up with other OOP languages witch include C++, Java,C# and others. However, you don't have to know OOP to learn Visual Basic 2008. In fact, if you are familiar with Visual Basic 6, you can learn Visual Basic 2008 very easily, because the syntax and interface are very similar. Visual Basic 2008 Express Edition is available free for download from the following links. Copied and pasted from the Microsoft site I do not own these: English, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Russian, and Spanish.

The Integrated Development Environment when you launch VB2008 Express is shown in the diagram below. The IDE consists of a few panes, namely:

    • [*] The Recent Projects Pane- it shows the list of projects that have been created by you recently.

[*]The Getting Started Pane- It provides some helpful tips to quickly develop your applications.

[*]The Visual Basic 2008 Express Headlines pane- It provides latest online news about Visual Basic 2008 Express. It will announce new releases and updates.

To start creating your first application, you need to click on file and select new project. You can also press the Ctrl button + N The Visual Basic 2008 New Project dialog box will appear:

The dialog box offers you five types of projects that you can create. As you create application's you are most likely going to use Windows Forms Application At the bottom of this dialog box, you can change the default project name to a name you like. click OK to continue, The following IDE Windows will appear, it is almost similar to Visual Basic 6. It consists of an empty form, the common controls toolbox, the solution explorer and the properties:

And this is the end of the introduction in my next tutorial you will learn to use the basic controls that Visual Basic 2008 has to offer, as well as make your first program.

...I respect what you tried to accomplish here, but this is hardly a tutorial.
All you did was show somebody how to create a new FORM... and if they couldn't figure that out, direct them towards The hardest language evar.
