[PROOF INSIDE] Over a 99% Chance your worshipping the wrong religion. [PROOF INSIDE]

Alright, I'll start off with someone elses theory from the, 'Do you believe in God' Thread, Which i ( ME ) will expand on.

    - In the world, it's widely accepted there are over 100 religions, probably more near a thousand. But for this example we'll say there are 100 religions in the world.

    - If your religous, you worship one religion. therefore you are 1/100 , in reality it's more like 1/1000. But nevertheless this gives a 99% chance that you are worshipping the wrong religion.

    - But more People follow Christianity, Islam. Yes, this may be true but the factor of the popularity of a religion cannot give it a higher validity factor.

    - Then move on the chance that god even exists, Which in fact is pretty unlikely in my eyes. Though there is NO proof on either sides, only theories, such as the red shift. the creation theory. etc.

    - Are you still religous after reading this?
    - How can you be religious with such a miniscule chance that your even worshipping the right religion. Ok. Say you still beleive in God after believing this as i cannot put into a percentage the chance that God is real.
-If you 'Move to a different religion' Or are worshipping the 'wrong' religion. You are 'Damned' to hell in most religions. I think this is really like blackmail. If i was religious i would be worried, annoyed, and angered.

    - To sum it up, there's Over a 99% Chance your not worshipping the right religion, let alone the factor that god exists. Dull times.

    /Discuss.

This is exactly what i thought, when i was around 9 or 10. And how i 'became' an agnostic/athiest. Though i normally don't go around trying to contradict everyones religions. Though im always up for a debate.

Most ignorant bull shit I've ever read. Read below.

    1) I wasn't having a conversation with you.

    2) Faith doesn't need empirical proof. Faith is not bound by affirmative logic, because of it's definition.

This is what you're not understanding.

    Faith in a religion/God, obviously.

I didn't state faith needs proof, i asked what it was.
You just stated, FAITH. basically. You cant contradict anything i said because i'm not wrong. Try saying something intelligent.

You could argue that things exist when someone believes in them.

If you believe in a God that you know you will never see and never have any evidence for, then, to you at least, it will always be real.

So rather then 99% being wrong, I'd argue 100% are right.

If you were born in India you would be Hindu, If you were born in ancient japan you would be Shinto, If you were born in Africa you would believe in the great juju in the mountain. How can you believe in something based on the lottery of where you were born.

Nice triple post, I don't believe anything based on a 'lottery' im athiest. I don't see how origin affects the validity, or percentage chance on worshipping the right religion?

Edit: I know people won't follow, or listen to what i've said properly. I expect people to have different views, this is like a debating forum. lulz

Religion is a waste of time, why spend your life wondering why you are here instead of living it.

On point, agreed. IF there was even a god, why would he want you to waste your time worshipping here, for the little time we are here.

This is HARDLY an argument to if your religion isn't the right one, you do not have references, proof or anything.

ONE line is not going to make people renounce a religion.

I dont think it's a matter of "the right religion" I believe all religions worship the same entity in their own ways.

Why would a worshipper be a non after reading this.
A religion is what you believe in and not in math.
Also there are 100 religions like you say and obv. you join one wich you think it's the truth. I believe in the Islam and if you ask why? Because it's the most logical religion. It states al the 3 prophets's Mozes , Jesus , Mohammed (sav).

What reference do i need, everything there is already prooved. I didn't say it would either.

That's good for you, nevertheless Islam is not the most logical religion, nor the most valid. It's just like saying Christianity is better then Islam, there's no proof, at-all that either are better.

Nice point, can i ask if you follow a religion? Or..?

That's good for you. Your OPINION that islam is the most logical religion. Im saying as a FACT. that you cannot prove islam is the most logical religion, which is all i stated. You cannot prove any religion to be the most logical. It's just like saying 'Chelsea is the best team in the world'. It's opinion. Which is a fact.
