What should I do?

Okay. My Mum just made me go to my room without my dinner.
I will explain to you the way it happened.

I was watching "How I met your Mother" on television. My Mum comes over and is like: Let's watch the news. I said "No, I am watching this, the news is boring".
She ignores me and makes us go to the news. The news proceeds on talking about economy. I say to my Mum: "seriously, I was watching that, now you're just ignoring the news..."
Mum says: "No I'm not, I'm listening".
10 seconds later I say: "Ok, tell me what he just said". My mother is obviously unable to answer my question because she is not watching the news.
"Can we please watch my show?"
My Mum ignores me.
I proceed to changing back to my channel.
My Mum then changes is back to which I complain and explain that I was watching my show and she has only changed to the news to smite me for no reason.
To this, my Mum says "Shut the fuck up".
I say "No"
She says "Go to your room without your dinner".
I bring my dinner to my room & close the door in discust to which my Mum gets up and goes absolutely apeshit (bashing my door).
I open the door & give her my dinner to which she goes and picks up a ruler and hits me.
"You're really fucking annoying me".
I close the door and lock it.

This is not the first time this has happened. Probably monthly, my Mother and I get into an argument to which she either kicks me out, tells me to "fuck off to your father", or tells me I am fucking stupid.

I have never hit her, and truthfully do nothing to provoke this abuse most of the time.

What should I do?

Reminds me of my mother at your age tbh...I just lived through it and grew up to be the psychotic fuck I am today.

It sucks, but remember-nobody's perfect. Everyone's mom is usually fucked up

 

Just tough it out probably, go outside, be around more people than you are your mom. Get a job to fend for yourself. The older you are the BETTER off you'll be. I've learned from experience.

 

She doesn't drink a lot, she's just abusive sometimes for no reason & she is 50.

I just confronted her about her shit & she told me to get out and go to my Dad's. Then I called her a fucking piece of shit & told her to grow a friend because she's not gonna get one any other way. It's not like she's always abusive but the 0.01% of time she is and it's wrong.

 

Oh yeah, another example. When I was 10 years old and my friend was over. After dinner (like 7PM), my friend and I wanted to go and play PS2 and my Mum was like omfg.. go to bed. Even though it was weekend and a sleepover. She was making us go to bed at 7:30 on a weekend for no reason! So behind my Mum's back, I said "sorry man, my Mum's being a bitch" & somehow she heard. She threw me down the back steps, locked me out, drove me to my Dad's and made my friend go home. Keep in mind too, I was 10.

You can't expect to stay trim and toned if you spend every evening slobbing in front of the TV. If you're not happy with your appearance, get some exercise. Realize that what suited you as a teenager may not suit you now. If your hairstyle hasn't changed in twenty years, visit the best hairdresser you can afford and get yourself an upgrade. Similarly, if your clothes are drab and shapeless visit a personal shopper (many stores offer free services these days) and discover which styles and colors suit you best.

Pursue Your Goals

Alpha Males may appear to have success fall in their laps but in fact most of them work very hard to achieve their goals. But simply studying and schmoozing is not enough to guarantee success. You have to believe you deserve it.

If your inner voice is overly critical, practice disagreeing with it. If it tells you you're not special enough, remind it you're just as good as the next guy. If it claims you'll never get the promotion, tell it that somebody has to and there's no good reason why it shouldn't be you. Then go for it!

Have a Life

Alpha Male status may seem like a great way to get the girls, but the real men know there's more to life than work and a string of one night stands.

If you're lacking in hobbies and interests it's time to start cultivating some. Life should be fun so get out there and enjoy yourself. Not only will this give you something to talk to women about, but if you have something exciting to do with your weekends suddenly your Friday night attempts to pull will lose a lot of their unpleasant urgency.

Act Confident

Part of an Alpha Male's charm is his laid back confidence. And the good news is it can easily be faked.

To appear calm, masculine and totally at ease, stand with your shoulders back, don't jiggle or fiddle and keep a steady gaze. Adopt a relaxed pose by leaning backwards or against something and listen intently to what is being said.

When speaking, keep your voice low and calm and don't be drawn into conversations about anything you don't understand.

Respect Women

Forget the looks and the success, the real reason most men are jealous of Alpha Males is their success with women. And the secret behind it is that they treat women well.

Even if all you're after is a one night stand, show the girl respect by listening to what she's saying, showing impeccable manners and never putting her under pressure to do anything she isn't ready for. If you intend to see her again, phone when you say will and consider sending flowers.

What Alpha Males realize and many other men don't is that most women don't demand amazing looks or a fantastic job, most women just want to be treated like a lady.

Stop being such an asshole to your mother and it wouldn't happen. She probably paid for the TV, and she probably pays for almost everything of yours so get the fuck over it and start respecting her more.

 

Stop being a dickhead to your mom and shut the fuck up. Problem solved.

 

It's only going to provoke her if you keep talking back like that. Just learn that as long as you are living under her roof, you obey her rules and what she says.

 

Call the cops if you hate her or just don't even talk to her at all.

At first i was going to say menopause, but seeing how she can't have ongoing menopause from when you were 10.

Your mom is slightly abusive and unfair, just try to keep not to provoke her. Talk to your father about this and have a family discussion. If it's not solvable through conversation, I'm going to say see a family counsellor or social services, if it gets to a serious problem.

 

Just trying to say that the problem is with you, not your mother. Change how you act and maybe she will be nicer to you.

 

This pretty much happens in any family really, just stop being so provocative and maybe she will calm down.

Your mum is 50, she is probably menopausal. I would assume you know what that means, but no-one else has said it.

 

Being a coward is no way to live your life. Respect your mother, but don't let her control you. Don't stand down just because she has control. Respect her position, honor her rules, and if you're incapable of living as such, tell her goodbye, and leave.

If you think you would be better off without her, then walk away. If you can't live without her, then obviously she has control over you. Which does make you a beta male . You need to step up and take control of your life.

That doesn't mean hitting her, that means letting her know that you won't be hit.
