Very odd dream...

Hey guys, a few nights ago I had a really odd dream. I was wondering whether any of you might be able to offer me some sort of interpretation of it, or maybe work out what it means, because I honestly have no clue.
This is what happened during the dream:

I was on my uncles yacht with my dad, my uncle and someone else who I am not sure of. The weather was very stormy, and I was kind of sitting in the entrance to the cabin watching the back of the boat, and the sea behind it. The sea was very foamy, the waves were big and the boat was travelling very quickly. I stopped watching, went down into the cabin and put on some waterproofs because the weather was so bad. When I came back up, my dad, my uncle and the unknown person had all disappeared. There was no sign of them, it was as if they had never been there. I got out of the cabin and grabbed the tiller (that's the part of the boat you steer with). Then I noticed that on either side of the boat, land had started to materialise. It was like I had been teleported to a totally new place. I decided to turn around and go back where I had been to see if the other people on the boat had fallen off or something. But instead of returning to where I had been when I first noticed the others were gone, I just stayed in this area with land on either side of the boat. Then I noticed that ahead of me the water had gotten very shallow, and patches of mud had been exposed where the water had gotten to shallow to cover them. I kind of sailed onto one of these patches of mud and the boat tilted right over onto its side. I released all of the sheets (sheets are ropes that basically allow you to control the angle of the sails, if you release them then the boat will generally stop or travel very slowly). I looked across this expanse of mud, and I saw someone running. I jumped out of the boat and looked at where the person had been running from, but there was nothing there, except a man. The strange thing is, I could feel that something else was there and it scared me a lot. I'm not even sure what it was, I just knew something was there. Someone started shouting something like 'Brian, you have to save him!'. This is odd, because my name is Nick not Brian. Brian is my Dads name. I chased after the guy who was running, and then the guy who was standing near the 'thing that I couldn't see but could feel the presence of' and the 'thing' that was near him kind of appeared in front of us. The guy that had appeared kind of screamed and grabbed the man who had been running, and bit his head. Then I woke up shaking and really, really disturbed. I don't understand what this dream means, can anyone enlighten me?

 

To be honest, I think it's just a nightmare. If you believe that dreams correspond to real life, then I can't help you there.

 

Yeah that seems like a reasonable theory. Its just fairly different to any normal nightmares I have had, there is too much in this dream that relates to me, my life and people I know :/

 

Yeah, I've had plenty of dreams like yours, none of them had come true. In one of them my Dad died, but that was over a year ago now.

 

I'm not really worried about the dream coming true, just about whether or not it has some kind of meaning.

True, but they can have meanings/links to real life and I am just curious to know if there is any sort of meaning behind this dream.

Sounds like an average nightmare. Plus the read font is kinda difficult to read..

Dreams generally have no meaning, there's research trying to understand why dreams occur. The main theory is that it's just a collection of your daily events and your brain trying to organize it. Anyways, trying to interpret it could have infinite possibilities. Just think of it as a cool or interesting experience and you'll forget it within a day.

 

Dreams are our mind thinking while asleep. It could just be a regular dream or it could mean something.. sometimes we dream about the things we think the most. i think about dieing on a airplane and sometimes i dream of it.. do some research on google. im sure it will help

 

I think the dream, combined ith your subconscious choice for a blood-coloured font speaks of death omens for your father.

Consider subtly suggesting he get his affairs in order before the big sailing accident next week.

 

It could just be an average nightmare/dream, you could be a gypsy .
