Or rather upgrade my current computer. Looking to keep it under $300.

I mostly need a motherboard/cpu/RAM. If it's possible to budget in a video card then feel free. I don't particularly care if the cpu is Intel or AMD.

I'd prefer links from www.newegg.com unless somewhere else has a better deal.

edit: I have an ATX case.

The mobo is a bonus because of the integrated HD 4200. I definitely don't do much gaming but I think the integrated card will suit me perfectly fine for RS/light gaming

Have you tried a local computer shop?
If you go to a computer repair shop, they can get good deals.
    (from my experiences)

Lol, no. I have no need to.. I've built two computers in the past so I don't need them to do it for me (outrageous labor cost) and retailers such as BestBuy that will do the kind of thing you're talking about overprice their parts. A video card from best buy costs double what it does on Newegg.

Your current choice for an upgraded motherboard does not have onboard video. Your current RAM seems fine for light gaming and Runescape. In fact, I see nothing wrong with your current setup besides a CPU that is a little on the slow side. What is compelling you to want an upgrade?

    Build me a new computer

It actually does have an integrated ATI Radeon HD 4200. I also could just use my x1650 PRO if I needed to. The main reason I'm looking to upgrade is that my computer is nearing 3 years old. I'm a very demanding person with every aspect of my life, especially so with my computer. I am botting 24/7 on 2 characters at the minimum on RS which essentially just those two sucks up almost all of my resources. Just normal web browsing laggs like a bitch because of the two bots going at the same time.

Upgrading to a quadcore/DDR3 RAM/hopefully a better video card (I honestly don't know the HD4200's specs) will allow me to run that flawlessly. I can use 64 bit on my current setup but I'm not sure if it's worth it at the moment, I will also probably use it once I get my these parts.

Another big factor in wanting to upgrade is that I really want a specific capture card (Black Magic Intensity Pro) that I currently wouldn't be able to handle on this setup (not to mention HD video editing on this setup would suck also)

editing so I have somewhere to store these links (not at home atm):

The link you provided in the OP does not have an integrated video card, at least not the one that you're linking to on Newegg.

The two primary things you should upgrade first are your RAM and CPU. See if your mobo is an AM3 socket, and perhaps you would be able to keep that mobo and upgrade your CPU and RAM first. DDR3 1600 or 1333 RAM is still a little pricey, but it's a huge upgrade from what you are using now.

Oshi. I had originally linked to another mobo that had an integrated HD4200 but I didn't realize until after I had posted that it was a micro-ATX so I decided to change it, and read a few reviews which also stated this mobo had a HD4200 integrated so I just assumed. Sorry.

I have a socket AM2/AM2+ board. I'd need to upgrade, sadly.

Gigabyte has a new USB3 mobo for 125 bucks I believe. Might want to check it out.

Otherwise, go with a motherboard and CPU upgrade and see how your RAM holds out.
