Explanation:

I purchased this account on 5/15/19. Initially, everything was fine. 10 days after purchase, I get a DM in-game from a random user, claiming that the seller is not the OO as initially stated, and that the account could be recovered at any time. This user also DMd the correct email to the account: imgur.com

At the time, I didn't worry about it (as I should have), and everything was fine for a couple years.

This past week, I attempted to login to the account, and I was locked out. The account had ~100m of wealth on it when it was recovered. It seems email/password has changed and 2FA disabled. I looked at my email and saw password reset requests on 10/5/20, 10/6/20, and finally on 1/25/22.

I requested recovery info/help from the user but have gotten no response.

With the combination of the seller not being the OO as claimed before payment, the account being recovered, wealth on the account being lost, and the user failing to respond to my messages even though he has been online, I'm requesting that payment for the account be refunded (~$410). Since I know the account will likely continually be recovered, the account is basically unusable, since any wealth on the account would be unsafe.

If mods think that a refund is unreasonable for whatever reason, I would request the seller to assist in recovering the account successfully now, and in the future.

 

@McDoubleGood Can you explain what is going on here? Are you in fact not the OO? And if you are not, did you make @ADivorcedFork aware of this prior to the sale?
