I had no idea where to post this so..
I got scammed by faker.., 72$ atm..

And I need to recover my gifted money to him.
Can anyone help me with this?

first off all post in the "report a scammer"sectin and make sure you have enought prove to put in your thread.

Second, go over the Paypal and claim your payments back. I won't give you much hope but you can try.

Either contact paypal [not sure how you'd go about doing that though, via email or something i guess] or contact your bank and tell them the trade was un-authorised and you need it to be reversed.

 

Sorry to tell ya but paypal rarely issues back virtual good money.

Its classed as 'intangible-goods' which paypal doesn't deal with unless you have a business account.

 

Mmhmm they have kept $100USD that I used to purchase two copies of L4D2 with, because the accounts weren't verified and got limited for suspicious activity...And because of that PayPal revoked the payments to Valve who then disabled my Steam account. -.-!

They said they'd contact me but it's been a few weeks now..They're really unreliable.

By the way, if you payed via. PayPal Gift, there's no way to file a claim to get it back, that's why it's a "Gift". It's the same as C&C'ing.

 

indeed, i've been scammed that way before when i first started. they insisted on "gifting" the money so i did and i been outted $130 USD cuz paypal said that i can't take back a gift. paypal is rarely your pal. be happy you didn't get outted $100+ dude.

if you sent this cash through ur paypal balance there is no chance getting it back though even using claim money back because they dont allow you to buy virtual goods such as RS gold etc etc ,,
if you sent this money using ur back up funding source its too simple to get his account limited ^^
just dont apporve this payment n call ur bank asap reporting fraud .. yeah u will lose your paypal account for a while untill u get ur account verified etc etc but it worth doing it cuz of $$ ure losing =)

^This exactly. Sellers use gift payment so people can't claim back. If your account is bank funded, you can call Paypal.

just go to the paypal main page and locate your payment sent. click on details, and claim it back as unauthorized transaction or something.
