paypal question

I'm trying to sell my one and only main and i've never used paypal before. My friend told me that it's possible for ppl to take the money back after they've sent it to you and I'll have t use "claim and cancel". What exactly is claim and cancel? I also read that they can't take the money back if they send it to you as a gift. if this is true, how do I know if the person is sending it to me as a gift?

 

it should say its a gift and yeah they cant take a gift back...im not completely sure about the claim and cancel

And as for gift sending, it can be recovered (as anything else) when using a credit card. Bank funded is best. And you will know because it will say "gift from" or "payment from" etc describing the type of transaction.

 

ok a few more questions:
is there any way to tell if the person I'm dealing with claimed and canceled?
and if i get the money and immediately send it to another paypal account, can that person sill claim it back?

 

Yeah, you will tell if they claimed and canceled you will not miss it, just read the guide in the link. It requires you to do stuff too. And if you sent it to another account, the account you sent it from will have negative credit, and the account you sent it to could get locked/limited.
