Boy burned alive by bullies (No videos)

So basically this kid got into an argument with some other kids over a $40 dollar game. So they ran up to him and cornered him and poured rubbing alcohol all over him and set him on fire. Here's the 9/11 call and the story, after the kids who did it laughed at the situation. I think they should be put to death.

Yeah I read about this a while back. This is disturbing indeed. Being put to death is too easy. I say life in prison.

 

Old, but it's terrible that kids would do that for $40.

They didn't all laugh, and no, I don't agree they should be put to death? The kid is still alive, and really, all these kids need is a good psychiatrist.

 

Yes,that is just plain inhumane to burn a kid for a game;apparently GTA4 is bad for the mind.

 

The stuff people will do today is so corupted,what is the world coming to when kids are burned alive over 40$. Just sickening.

 

That's terrible.. Even if he does make it out he'll be undergoing so many operations and still possibly die from organ failure. I don't get why such young teens would even think of doing something like this to a kid over a $40 game.

And aren't their names supposed to be kept a secret because they aren't adults?

It's not GTA4's fault, and I don't believe video games can be entirely blamed. I do agree that people without a proper level of intelligence shouldn't be exposed to too much violence, but yeah...

As opposed to what happened hundreds of years ago when people were burned alive when they were accused of being witches? It hasn't changed that much .

 

It was an indirect statement;meaning that violence is too much in nowadays culture/times.

 

I can kind of agree. I don't feel to exposed to it, tbh. I mean, we have a lot of violence in America, but it's not too bad.

At least we're not in the medieval times when people were legally massacred .

 

People didn't know better back then. What was the arguement over exactly? Did the kid steal the game or what. Ill read the story (only listened to 911 call)

 

The kid owed them money for a video game. They stole a kids bike. The kid showed up or something where the suspects were. One kid through rubbing alcohol on him, another flicked a lighter and lit him on fire. He jumped into the pool.

And are you implying that kids, who have no formal education or understanding of the world, know better than people hundreds of years ago? . Just because the technology is better doesn't mean we've evolved mentally. People are just as advanced as they were in the roman empire days, we've merely developed new technologies through random genius breakthroughs ^.^.

 

If the kid didnt die or sustain life threating injuries i say send the kids to bootcamp for maybe a year or 2 or get mentally evaluated. the kid should have taken the innovative to pay back the $40 he owes and he would have never been in this situation. basically dont borrow money that you cant pay back.

 

Well the situation shouldn't have ever occurred in the first place..

It would've been painful.

But seing as how he was still coherent, it couldn't have been the worse thing ever. Human body is only capable of tolerating a certain amount of pain before shutting off. He was yelling on and off, and crying like a complete baby. I can't say I blame him, but I'm sure some of us have felt similar levels of pain.

I'm sure the feeling of being on fire would be far more painful than anything anyone on here has felt, unless they've been hit by a car going 60 mph, but then of course they'd be knocked unconscious. But maybe I say this with a certain amount of bias because I've never even broken a bone, but it sure seems like being on fire would be terrible and having to deal with the aftermath of it which only makes things worse with burns wouldn't be very fun either.
