Paypal eCheck for a Runescape Account

I posted my rs account on a fairly new account selling site last week.
Well, yesterday as I was checking my Paypal account, I saw that there was a pending payment of $***.00 on my account.

    Don't Ship Yet
    Payment Status: Uncleared
eCheck estimated completion: 12/14/2009-12/16/2009. We recommend that you don't ship items until you receive payment.

So far Paypal has been the most successful buying/selling method for me.
However, I have never gotten any eChecks yet due to usually going through eBay, where everything has gone through right away.
I did do a little research on it, and the only way I found this wasn't safe was if he doesn't have enough funds in his account.

This is a virtual item though, and he comes from an unconfirmed address.
I just sent him a message saying it would be easier and fast to re-send the payment via claim and cancel. (That way I know I wont get scammed)
Once the eCheck is cleared, should I immediately send the info?
I don't really care about the account anymore, but it does have stuff like Blue h'ween mask+over 10M in pure. So I don't want him to just transfer everything, then get his money back.

E-checks are very risky, basically your waiting for the money to clear from the other person's bank account to your paypal account. Don't send him any info yet, wait til the payment clears and then claim and cancel. Since the other user is unverified your more than likely dealing with a scammer.

E-Checks usually occur when someone uses a stolen Paypal that has no CC attached to pay you.

Wait 24-72 hours after it clears to see if you still have the money.

Yeah, I figured it is pretty risky. I wont be sending him anything until it clears.
But xeleration, you think I would be safe after 2-3 days?
Just say I received the funds (my current balance would be nothing), then spent it a couple days later.
What would happen next? Paypal would charge me if he tries to get the cash back?

2-3 Days is ample time for Paypal to recognize a stolen Paypal.
If you spent the money and he recovers the money, your Paypal will have a negative balance if he is successful.

Well he hasn't responded yet, which I think is weird because who doesn't want to be constantly updated on a 3 digit $ purchase they have yet to receive?
If the transfer is successful, I won't spend the cash right away...
I'll post again, hopefully with me having success =)

do not. i repeat do NOT accept that echeck. if you send an echeck not only does it take over a week for you to get it into your account. the person can easily file a dispute and the echeck gets cancelled immediately. theres quite a few articles about echeck scams on ebay.

edit: let me clarify the 1 week thing i stated. it takes 3-5 days for them to take the money out of the persons account and into your paypal account, then another 3-5 days for it to be deposited into your account, not to mention this is all business days. so you may not see your money for 2 weeks......
