What's a good read?

I know, I know!

I didn't cry, or anything .. But, whatever floats your boat.

 

The Boy In Striped Pyjamas is a really good read too, a bit sad but it's really good.

 

Ha yeah I always tried to figure that out. I'd guess '40s but theres some stuff that wouldn't have existed in the '40s... who knows.


Anyway my one suggestion is Life of Pi by Yann Martel. It's a fucking good adventure and has some really good points about humanity.

Try Epic by Conor Kostick, i liked it alot

 

The Lord of The Rings trilogy

 

Evil Genius by Catherine Jinks.

Has quite a few twists there, and the ending makes you look for a sequel to the book, but there were none published I think :/

Speak
Fahrenheit 451
The Secret School

 

Read the first 3 books, then stop.

The others are just pointless continuations where the characters travel from one place to another and back again in a gargantuan effort to fill Robert Jordan's pockets with money.

Let the right one in
American Psycho (50/50 chance you won't like it though)
American Gods
Name of the Wind (there is a section towards the end that is trashy, but the rest is good)

 

I second that, it's a great book =P

There are two sequels, I'm reading the second one now.

I forgot that, but I read it recently and it's a fantastic book, very though provoking but not at all hard to read.
