[Approved] Re-open Bondholder Applications

I know this is above me, but I think bondholder applications should be reopened. Before you go and say, “no support, you just want to become one,” I don’t even meet the minimum requirements.

Reasons:
1. There are two members (maybe 3) that are not even active anymore. Why should they make 5-10% while not remaining active on the site?
2. There are a couple of members (again above my decision-making ability, it’s just my opinion) that would benefit the site because of their activity and trustworthiness as bondholders.
3. Covid vaccines/boosters are available, so Covid should not be an excuse anymore.

All jokes aside, if this has been suggested already, my apologies, and thanks for taking the time to read this!

 

I was thinking the same thing myself. When I wanted to donate recently, everyone I wanted to DM hadn't been on in a hot minute. No reason they should be bondholders when they're not active. Support.

 

I dont meet the reqs either but I still support this. Maybe it would eventually increase the total amount deposited per month, thats just a quess tough.

 

I dont meet the requirements either but I definitely agree with this, In order to be a bondholder I feel you should be active daily. Its hard enough to become a holder so why let inactive members be holders

 

Kinda a no brainer on this. It doesn't look good on folks donating, especially newcomers, if they simply can't donate due to lack of activity in bond holders.

 

im pretty sure bondholder apps are open all the time but you need to offer payment methods that are not being offered yet for them to even consider accepting you(example you can accept NFTs as payment method for donation)

They dont actualy make 5-10% cus they dont even proceed domations they just rank sit. Mootrucks for example was alredy inactive when i was bondholder and that was 2+ years ago. I'd be suprised if he actualy proceed more than 20 donations in last 2 years. Same goes for tyler and realist.

So yeah i def support. somthing should be done removing their threads from the top in crypto section (well atleast untill they wish to return and be active) + some new ACTIVE bondholders to be accepted.

 

^^ this basically. I support on this one, just get some qualified members who are active on the forums and give them the bondholder ranks instead.

 

Moderator applications are always open.
CDT applications are always open.
Bondholder applications are always ... wait, nvm they're closed so that a few people can rank sit.

To the points made above:

1 - What does covid have to do with bondholder applications?
2 - There are bondholders who literally haven't logged into Sythe in a year.
3- I can't think of one reason around how closing applications would be beneficial for the site.

If bondholders process two donations every so often, they are technically doing their “job,” but it’s more of a privilege than a right. Bondholders should be vested in the community and rewarded by doing so.

 

It's the same argument and logic that surrounded the official middleman role and its ultimate discontinuation. The process to become an OMM was made purposefully difficult so that those who were OMMs could rank sit. There were plenty of very trustworthy MM's who were perpetually denied the role (looking at you, @Blaze) solely because those who had it wanted it to remain exclusive and guarded in order to bolster personal gain through business sales. Several OMMs were not active and/or actively conducting MMs. Over time, I've noticed that people sometimes lose sight of what's best for the community.
