So I have a speech impediment..

I remember hearing about diaphragmatic breathing techniques used to control stuttering. Not sure if it works or if it is even used, I just remember reading that somewhere.

 

You say it as if I spend every waking second of my day on this site, instead of the odd browse here and there.

Oh, perhaps I should point out that I have this website to thank for earning me many thousands of dollars, pushing me to learn gfx and then web design, and then laughing at idiots like you.

I fail to see how my comments make me a moron. Nor do I see how self esteem comes into it, I simply made a comment that I believe to be of a humorous nature. I don't stutter, however, if you're looking for things to insult me about, try poking fun at my fat, see how that goes for you - you might make me cry, etc.

And morttt, I laugh about it when people mention it, it's silly but it's something I can't control at the moment. I was asking for help and out of the blue he just mocked me, and it pissed me off.

Thanks to everyone that's trying to help me out, so far, no luck in finding it. I've tried breathing excises for a few years, and it never works. I remember hearing that most people who speak fluently use their left brain to speak, and people with disfluences use their right brain to speak, when the vocal cords vibrate to produce sound, it tenses up making the muscles in my face tense up thus not making me be able to speak fluently. I'm not a severe stutterer, I've learned some things that make me avoid the tension, but I still do sometimes.

I speak two languages, Russian & English, I am most disfluent in russian, especially around my family.

@ V Angel V - That's the site that I was talking about, I'm trying to get the money to order it and hopefully it'll work, and most of the stuff that's available to everyone is the same thing, confidence, breathing exercises, etc. Once I buy it I'll share it with Sythe, someone mentioned they have the same condition.

Also, I'd like to thank Triplem for making this possible, he donated some money, I should be getting it in a few days.. If this works, I'll write about it.
