Market - Offer Other Services

I would like to be able to offer services online, such as website development, and such. It is easy to tell if someone was scammed, as keeping the proof of what you've made is easy, and then it's just a question of whether or not the buyer scammed, which is also easy to check.

So yeah, this should be allowed. And a section for this should be added? "Virtual Services" or "Other Virtual Goods"?

 

This isn't a web development forum. If you want web design work go to webmaster forums such as digitalpoint.

 

Competition is fiercer there, and there's actually a lot of good potential consumers here.

Well obviously. Why not? Because this isn't a web development forum.

You will most likely have people wasting your time anyway (design a site and then they end up not wanting) and charging half as much as you should be.

Yes, it isn't a web development forum, but why not have the services for people here already? A lot of people here want websites to offer their RS related services, so why shouldn't I be allowed to offer that? It doesn't matter that it's not a web development forum, it's not a general discussion forum either, but we have that section, don't we?

 

I know, but what I'm trying to say is that people won't be willing to pay what would be considered a normal price on another site (mainly because of the age group here).

 

Indeed, but that doesn't mean I shouldn't be allowed to offer such services . I'm sure that some people here would be fine with a cheap website of their own.

With regard to the actual idea: no.

There wouldn't be nearly enough activity and you'd have tons of people placing fake orders, being dissatisfied with the website, paying poorly...

Overall the separate forum would fail, but you're right that you should not be blocked from creating such a service(and I doubt you are). Just PM an administrator asking if it's allowed and where to create such a thread.

 

I think it sounds like an excellent idea.

@[N]ick, you never know tell you try. I think it should at least be given a chance, and if it fails then it can be removed.

 

I don't see why it shouldn't be allowed. If people can sell pokemon cards you should be able to sell sites. I don't think they should make a whole new section just for sites though, just allow you to sell them in an already made section.

This isn't a pokemon cards, ipod touch, and signed posters forum either, but people still sell those things.

There is always a chance that any service fail whether it's a runescape service or another service.

All the other sections are being spammed with non related things.
