Explanation of the trade:

We requested three graphic designs from Zen, all three of which were promised within 1-2 days. All of them were delivered later than the deadline - we didn't make a fuss out of this, even though we could say we lost out on potential clients because of this as our startup was delayed.


I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT TO PURCHASE FROM THIS GRAPHICS DESIGNER.

Upon requesting some changes to the last design, my friend was told that he would be charged more.

Now I understand this requires some effort, but to ask another payment for this is ridiculous.
Most of you know I have never been stingy, and I don't even remember when my last report was - but this was just too unprofessional for me.

@Zen Treat your clients better, you are getting overpaid for mediocre work. In any case, we will take our business elsewhere.

 

Firstly, I never dealt with this guy at all during any of 3 GFX pieces made, now he's coming at me saying i'm unprofessional, when his buddy already thanked me for all the completed work and said he loved it..

I told your friend, who is the person I dealt with (not this dude) the first part of the edits are fine, and I offered overall size increase of the packages GFX, as admittedly it has turned out quite hard to read on sythe.

The second part of the edits you asked for would take me several hours as I'd have to re-arrange everything, individually moving items to a new format, which is why I'm asking for more money. Myself and the other guy discussed the layout beforehand and the client was happy with it, why am I gonna re-arrange for free?

As for the time delays, I'll admit I was roughly 24 hours over on this one, been busy irl and I apologised and sorted this out with the client already. The thread and logo were delivered on time though, so i'm not sure why you're bringing those up.

Calling me unprofessional when I haven't even worked with u directly makes no sense

You were late on the thread out by 24 hours.

The logo was discussed on the 6th of January. On the 7th of January you mentioned that you would send the logo "later today".
On the 8th of January my friend messaged you again asking about the order, you mentioned you didn't have time to complete the fx and were at your nonexistent girlfriend's house. On the 9th of January 1 AM you mentioned you will send in a couple hours - a couple hours don't mean 15 hours.
Are you going to claim that the logo (which is basic at most) took longer than the thread layout?

Just because you didn't work directly with me, doesn't mean you shouldn't be able to work with me. In the end, I was the one who paid for these graphics - he just sent you the payment because I was away for a couple days.


Perhaps we can have the insights of some other graphics designers? @Baod @Skeer @BrandDesigns @Izad

How long do you guys think the aforementioned edits would take? Is it not basic decency to cover some edits to your clients?

I didn't work with u on this order, so you aren't in a position to be criticising my professionalism. Your buddy was happy with the work made and I dealt with him, if he wasn't happy with it, he wouldn't have ordered more GFX...

I originally quoted 24-72 hours for the thread on the 5th Jan, the client asked for another item added to the order (the logo) on the 6th, which I began working on along with the thread. Admittedly I was busy IRL, but if the time frame was an issue when we were working on the order, he should have brought it up then and asked for a refund. This was already sorted out between me and the client. As I mentioned, I apologised to the client for being late with the order, and he was fine with it, ordering more GFX a few days later. I assumed he understood because he ordered MORE GFX that it would take longer to deliver it all. Even still I was on course to deliver it to him on time, on the mentioned day, until he said it was no problem and I could deliver it the following day, which I did:

You can see, I do edits for clients no problem, but not when ur asking for a whole layout change lmao. I dunno why you're quoting other artists as well because they aren't working in my PSD so how would they know how long it will take? They would prob agree 1-2 hours though (to rearrange all the txt and items to new positions, realign them and resize the whole canvas), which warrants charging more money , esp when we agreed on the layout beforehand...

Talking about me playing people when this dude was satisfied enough to say "worth the wait" after we sorted the issue, then come back and order more GFX, to report all 3 items because I wouldn't spend more hours re-arranging the layout and adding the packages to the thread layout, which wasn't even quoted or discussed originally. Graphics takes time bud, you can't just demand big edits and then throw a hissy fit when you don't get your way

Baring in mind, all these screenshots are from another guy. I don't even know this kid thats made this report. Never dealt with him before until today lol, now he's saying he was the client and he's not satisfied, even though the guy I actually worked with was satisfied with all 3 pieces made and we sorted out all the time issues? Why waste my time creating you more GFX?

Two graphics designers have already came out and told me that the requested edits would not take more than 30 minutes TOPS.
As I said, your work is mediocre - perhaps for you it does take longer.

My friend is new to Sythe, he didn't want to be disrespectful which is why he "nodded" along instead of complaining in the beginning.

The main issue here was that you wanted to charge more for something that honestly isn't that much effort to keep your customer happy. But honestly one of the designers summed it up quite nicely: you get what you paid for.

I came to you on your server and asked respectfully, even apologized for the temper of my friend. Just this should have been reason enough to work with me, I don't know why I expected more from a mediocre graphics designer.

Nevertheless, I will be removing all the graphics I bought from you as soon as something else has been made. I would not want to promote your designs, let alone your work-ethic.

 

You're the first person to complain about my work in the 1 and a half years i've been on Sythe, and I haven't even worked with u. Check my vouches buddy

Man, you delivered a product that is barely readable and contains all boxes in 1 line.
I don't think you put any effort into this to be honest, but maybe with your capacity that would be a wrong assumption to make.

All I requested was that you split it and make it 3 boxes each, it really is not much work. To claim otherwise is to mock your client's intelligence. Also, it's been confirmed to me by two different graphic designers that the edits would take 30 minutes at most.

I understand now that that's not something you're willing to do for your customers, even if to make up for your missed deadlines.

Let me know when you have the finished product.

You really trying to gaslight me and say I don't offer edits when I did edits on your logo, your thread and now offered to resize and change typos on this?

I've spoke to some designers as well, and they agree they would charge more for the edits. Pretty irrelevant though either way, i'm the designer so i'll decide if I wanna charge you extra or offer it for free.

After reviewing everything, while Zen was delayed with some of the graphics, he hasn't broken any rules and is within his right to ask for additional payment for revisions. Your friend also acknowledged several times he was satisfied in the end. I'll also mention that except in a few cases (anonymity etc.) we won't review reports by people not directly impacted by the person being reported. I made an exception here but ordinarily this would not work and your friend would have needed to make his own report
