Runescape's Economy Crashing?

The prices of several items that have been steadily rising like crazy, are now dropping. Mainly cosmetic items, such as Gnome Scarves, Flared Trousers, Black Cavaliers/Masks, White/Black Flowers, Robin Hood Hats, Ranger Boots... even the Santa Hat dropped overnight.

Maybe it's a coincidence, or maybe the market is stabilizing; I just felt it was relavent enough to be posted here. What do you guys think about this?

Lol.. This has been going on for a long long time. Also there are a ton of factors that play into the rise and drop of items.

 

The Runescape economy has been horrible since the happening of December 10, 2007. I think we all know what day that is.

 

I don't know why santa dropped, they tend to raise leading to xmas, then drop vastly afterwords.

 

This is the aftermath of merchanting.

 

Items were rising because of all the extra money that 76king brought into the game.

 

Yeah it's ridiculous how much the Ranger Boots cost now! They're like 16.5m the last time I checked.

 

No. I don't believe the market will ever stabilize. but yes it's true stupid things have such high value..

 

The fuck.. I got them when they were 9m from clue scroll like a month ago and now they are almost 20m...

 

This is caused by INSANE inflation. I dare you to find 5 ways that cash ACTUALLY leaves the economy in decent amounts now that your items are saved when you die and you have no incentive to PK.

Anyone whos been tracking ge prices for merching has seen this for a while now. Thre was a big crash a couple of months back and things havent really recovered yet, but we're coming out of it.

 

indeed, the 76k trick was bring WAAAAY too much money into the runescape economy. i mean damn... a while back you could get crazy high money from one kill at 0 ep, but now i think they are fixing it for the better. they really should make it so you can't do it to the extent people have been. that way money stabalizes and prices get to regular prices. hell, dfs was like 22mil and is now around 34mil and at one point not too long ago i could get bandos chestplate and bandos tasset for around 30mil now i'm lookin at spending 45-50 mil on em. if there is a mad rush from new rich people to buy stuff, of course everything gonna raise in price.

this has been happening for awhile.. but like they say. what goes up must come down..

 

It's called merchanting clans. The Grand Exchange was a worse update than removing the wilderness because it effects EVERYONE.
