Feel Like a Noob... Mint Cake Question.

Why are people paying so much for "Mint Cakes" ? They heal 100% Of your running/ energy. Who cares really. Rest for a minute even with 1 Agility and you're at 100% again.

I couldn't really find a thread corresponding with my questions when i searched but an answer or anything will be greatly appreciated

I think it's because they are a rare reward from SC, but I'm not entirely sure.

Feel Like a Noob... Mint Cake Question.

I hear of people selling for 1-5m RSGP... And it's on the forums as well selling for 5m junk. What i don't understand is how can that be possible, keep trading max ammnt of GP till u hit Xmill? Or does "Junk" not count for the trade limit?

*junk* is used to refer to items with no value because there useless (maple long bows(U) barbed bolts etc etc) and/or items that have just been merched to a high amount then dumped, Blue coifs 0 from fog etc etc.

The reason Mint cakes are being sold for so much junk is because there rare and have a low trade value so merchants are using them as trading chips basically, as they will raise alot so there a good item to get a hold of.

What i'm having troubles with is, How are you able to trasfer 2-5m worth of junk for something worth 16.8k ? How many trades will it take and or how will that much be transfered to that person. Is it like a RWT method that's legal?

I'm just having troubles seeing as there is a Trade limit based on QP's... if a lvl 30 noob has a Mint cake... and he wants to sell for 4m, how will he end up with that 4m when the value's only 16k?

Sorry, i'm Canadian, Give me a break xD

Ok, i'l break it down for you.

Player A - has a mint cake and 5mil's Worth of maple longbows(U) [That will never sell and are considered junk because their worthless, however have a trade value so people keep them]

Player B - wants a mint cake, buys Player A's mint cake and his 5mil's worth of maple longbows (U).

    Get it?

They're actually not that difficult to get once you have completed Glouphrie's quest.

Only a couple of the gnomes give them as reward, so you can just deliver to them over and over until you get a mint cake.

Jagex has stated many times that they don't want any more rares/discontinued items in the game anymore. So, no, they won't be discontinued.
