Wtf Is Happening On Sythe????

This has been posted here because it is feedback about the site(negative feedback).
Notice how all of the staff are against the ban except for sin.
This is Macromans ban appeal.

This is just disgusting I can’t believe this is happening on sythe. Im extremely disappointed in the staff especially sin. This member who has been here since the first month of 2007, and has almost 7,000 posts as well as a former moderator , has been permanently banned after this bs? He was scammed, he did the 26k trick in runescape 5 times for this guy ,and the guy decided not to do it for him. Of course he was upset, and the guy kept declining to do his share of the trade so Macroman told him he had his ip address and he was going to have fun. Of course he was joking, he wanted to scare the other guy, that SCAMMED HIM ,and that is that. He didn’t even have fun with his ip address or port or mess up the SCAMMERS computer at all. The SCAMMER reports him for saying that and this 7k post ex- mod early 2007 member was permanently banned with the reason being “BOTNETTNG”. The ONLY proof of botnetting is the SCAMMERS testimony that after he SCAMMED macroman he received the comment “I got your ip and im going to have fun”.
There are MANY problems with this permanent ban.

1. COMPLETELY UNWARANTED.
2. That simple comment has NOTHING to do with botnetting.
3. There is no proof WHAT SO EVER that Macroman has a botnet.
4. Macroman was the one scammed.
5. This happened OFFSITE.
6. EVEN IF Macroman has a botnet which he DOESN’T it has nothing to do with sythe and there is no proof AT ALL.
7. There is nothing about botnets in the rules or reasons to permanently ban someone.
8. This is a VALUALBLE member who has been here a LONG time he is a ex-mod as well as 7k posts.
9. This entire incident is completely assinine.
10. The comment occured in rs and not sythe and his comment is not even warranted for a warning/ 1 point infraction.
11. All the staff except sin agree that he should be unbanned.


I am speaking out because i’ve witnessed this long enough; I am extremely appalled by this decision. I DON’T EVEN KNOW MACROMAN, AND I HAVE NEVER EVER TALKED TO HIM! I AM JUST A CONCERNED SYTHE MEMBER SPEAKING OUT AGAINST THIS INJUSTICE I CANT BELIEVE HE HAS ALREADY SERVED 2 MONTHS OF THIS RETARDATION OF A BAN.
What even disappoints me more is Sin’s actions and reasoning. She is a WONDERFULL person and in my experiences she has done her job correctly at all times. She has been wise and logical in almost every situation, and she is, in my opinion, the best staff member at the moment. But when I saw her posts on this matter AFTER it was decided he should be unbanned I was completely stunned. Her logic makes no sense at all and I can’t believe it.
Her proof that he has a bot net was a post made by macroman months ago that said this about the conficker virus which had infected millions of computers.

This comment is perfectly normal even suf had to say it.

I agree with this. I know more than Macroman about botnets but i don't have one either so really i should be banned for knowing about them? Aswell as this i thought without proof you wouldn't be banned and that proof is worse than chat logs. Also what ever happened to if it stays off Sythe then it's ok. Obviously Sythe not the user Sythe but Sythe bans the people they don't like.

Also this guy should be banned if Macro is http://www.sythe.org/member.php?u=216997 that's more evidence then Macros case.

I probably know Macroman better then most people on this site, as I know him in real life.

However, you guys can't just judge the staff here. You can't just unban someone and take there word that they haven't done anything wrong. I personally agree with Macroman that he hasn't done anything wrong, but if the staff simply assumed it then half of Sythe would be unbanned. Macromans case obviously takes a little while longer because of his previous status on Sythe, and I'm sure the staff want to make sure that his appeal is legitimate. I know for a fact he wasn't using a botnet, but if the staff were to assume that he wasn't then the whole system would be flawed.

This thread shouldn't be named "Wtf is happening to Sythe," when one member's case is taking longer then usual.

You haven't an idea of how many times I've asked the staff to review his appeal, and although I don't agree that he got banned in the first place, the staff wouldn't ban someone for an unjust reason.

I have a million things to say to you but I can't be bothered, you honestly don't know the full story, do you?

First, this forum is not for the discussion of particular bans. Read the rules before posting.

Second, I didn't issue the ban, it was another mod. He believes that Macroman does use a botnet - I only posted my opinion based on additional evidence.

Thirdly, Macroman doesn't exactly have a clean history. He should have been banned for corruption a long time ago, and I have good reason not to trust him. Even if the botnet ban is a mistake, it's simply fixing the mistake of not banning him sooner.

If he has an issue with the ban, he can talk to me.
