What to do as an end-game player in OSRS?

I'm a 2277 total level maxed main account in osrs, seems like the game is losing a lot of players recently, iv'e got a few hopes for Nex and the new desert-mode raids that is going to come out soon, hopefully this might cause an uptick of players and a revitalisation of the game as the dueel arena will be removed on the 17th november as well.

I'm currently grinding Phosani Nightmare in an attempt to complete it's collection log now (i'm 800+ kc PNM and 5000+ kc nightmare).. for me after I get this Eldritch Orb, I'll feel like there is nothing else to go for.. Even this feels like a waste of time, and just feels like I'm pacifying myself and giving myself a stupid fictitious goal to go for (complete the nightmare collection log)

So I'm asking as an end-game player in early november 2021, what else is there to do?

I'm not even much of a pet hunter really, and i'm not a skiller so 200m skilling isnt really my thing..

edit: im thinking of creating a piety 60 attack account, just so I can get back into the pking scene

 

Try different gamemode. Game can be very interesting with different mechanics. I haven't played normal osrs for years but Deadman been a lot of fun.

 

If ur not having fun whilst playing ur definitely wasting ur time. You can prob make some $$$ when you eventually sell it but its definitely not worth the grind. Im pretty much in the same position as u ~ maxed account/done most things I've wanted to do and currently in the process of selling it, I know there's raids3 and Nex coming up around 2022 but im not really into RS anymore.

I know that a lot of high-end players end up making iron-men accounts or account restricted game modes although that's just not for me. Perhaps give it a try but if you can't stand grinding again id just recommend cashing out and quitting bro.

 

I think OSRS is going through its worst ever dry patch in terms of updates. Very few things this year and the main game feels very stale. Of course the player base was always gonna have a correction with people going back to work and school with covid restrictions lifting, but Jagex certainly haven't helped themselves.

 

You probably burned yourself out on Oldschool Runescape. Try to play some different games, then when you get back to Oldschool-Runescape after a while you should find inspiration to play again.

 

Try new games. I burned out around a year ago, and I never play this game anymore. It really does get boring after you have unlocked everything.

I took this advice when you posted it, and right now I'm experimenting with the HCIM game mode. I got someone on to train 99 FM for me to begin with, then I'm going to take over the account. Thanks for the advice.

P.S, I already have an ironman, so this HCIM will just be more of the same thing except.... less dying.

Good idea. I'm currently thinking of putting the main up for sale, but best not to make any hasty decisions as it's an account I care deeply about. Going to think on this for a few days or weeks. I'm making a HCIM as we speak, hopefully it will reignite something.

Definitely agree. 100%, OSRS is going through a terrible dry streak in terms of updates and in-game content, feels like the game has been forgotten about for a little while.
