Previous Unnoticed Botting - Am I still at risk?

If someone were to bot for a while and not get banned for it, quit Runescape, and went back to it a few months later and decided to play legit, would they be at risk of getting banned, or would they be "home free"?

I ask this because I'm considering getting membership on my skiller, which has a history of botting. I quit botting 3 months ago and it's still unbanned, but I've heard horror stories of Jagex banning accounts after they buy membership, or reach a high goal (Level 99 in a skill, for example), so I'm wary of purchasing membership if I'm going to get banned.

What does Sythe think? Anybody think I'm at risk? Anybody have experiences with being banned a long period of time after they botted? Should I buy membership? I trust you guys more than I do my own instinct, so help me, please!

You could possibly be banned but most likely no, just buy membership and play legit.

 

I doubt it and would see no reason why you would be banned all of a sudden after playing. I say 3 months of no ban is like safezone, Just curious, how long did you bot a day and how much total xp/cash you get from botting?

Botted on-and-off using a Woodcutting bot in Falador and Firemaking bot in Grand Exchange, a few hours daily. I watched it, and never got stuck in a random event. Also, I made it to 78 Woodcutting and 79 Firemaking, and earned around 3 Million gold.

 

technically you could be banned... but you should be fine, i would buy membership if i was you

 

I'm pretty sure you are safe after such a long time.
Max time I've seen is 1 1/2 month, so...

You would be safe. They usually ban you within a month of the botting.

I botted 99 wcing and 99 fletching about a year ago. And haven't been banned at all.
Don't worry about it and buy your membership.

 

Also like to throw it, if you stay Non-Member with all the cash and you bot while you're Non-Member you'll be WAY more likely to be caught/banned. So just have fun with your account and just play legit, and just do your normal daily activities/events.

 

I'm cutting Ivy and doing Evil Trees. I'm hoping to get 99 Woodcut before the holidays (just reached 3m XP in Woodcutting last night!)

At ivys make sure you're talking like a lot, a lot of assholes come there and just report everyone that doesn't talk. So just go to a CC and chill there with some friends or find someone to talk to at ivys. Goodluck man

Yes you can still be banned, if you were flagged or what ever it is jagex does in the past they just may have not gotten to you yet, if people report you or something for botting in the future even if your not doing it they could look at your stuff from the past and get you. If you look threw my old threads i have up about a lot of 99str, wc, fletching, etc pures I stopped botting them and went legit some were banned months after selling(there is a chance the buyers botted some of them though but still).

I had 32m+ fletching xp, and like 24m+wc xp, stopped botting for a few months and ended up getting banned, and that was back when i was using rsbot lol so it probably wouldnt be as risky if your using nexus? or what ever bots are considered undetectable

 

You're mostlikely safe. But I'm not Jagex so you can't be sure. Just be good from now on .

 

Well, that sucks. Why would you bot an account with 32m Fletching EXP, anyways?
