Sorry are you blind? the effects were amazing...

The plot was pretty lame and left alot of loose ends but it's better then the rest of the end of the world movies that he's made.

 

It wasn't that good, i didnt personaly liked it.

 

I saw this and it was okay. I was hoping for more of a story about 2012 itself though. It turned out to just be the typical "oh no the world's ending" kind of movie where you follow a couple of people trying to survive.

Really would've been a lot better if they had explained some of the things surrounding the 2012 theory, but whatever. I guess I would've been better off watching a documentary.

 

The movie had a lot of half-truths and plain lies about 2012. But hey, it's fiction, so that doesn't bother me. The thing that did bother me was the whole "boo-hoo, I'm divorced" back story. Too much of the movie was spent on an unsuccessful attempt at making the characters interesting. I paid for a disaster movie, not an emotional divorce story.

Now that the bad stuff is out of the way, I liked the action and special effects. Great movie to see in a cinema, but I won't bother watching it on TV.
