Post count does not matter?

Anyone can spam a lot of posts, in my opinion in mainly depends on how long they have been around and how many trades they have done.

 

It all depends where the posts are posted.

A member could have 5,000 posts in the community section, but never have a trade.

However, a member could have 100 posts, but he's done 100 trades.

There is more to trust than post count.

 

I always look at post count first, then number of vouches, then quality of vouches if it's really an important trade. I value my name, but also my post count is an important reason why I would never scam also.
As people said, post count is never entirely reliable, anybody can be a Fatih.

 

Post count does not matter whatsoever.
As of my market trading experience, the people with the most posts always seem to be the Scammers instead of the Leechers.
That's why there's Vouches.

 

People with low post count do scam. Also it doesnt matter how much post count you have but how long you been a member per post count

 

That makes no sense.
I mean even with vouches people can still scam.

 

I do agree. I'm not saying people with a low post count are scammers, but people with a higher post count shows dedication aswell.

Not like 1000 posts and 1 vouched is trusted, say 10+ vouches and 1000+ posts i consider trusted

 

I Also trusted high post count 3 days ago but not anymore... Wonder why?

 

Don't look at one aspect.

- Check the person's join date
- Post count and posts per day
- Read some of their posts
- See how they act
- Check the person's vouches
- Ask around and see who trusts him/her

 

I see it as this too, If they are a leecher, joined this month or 1-2 months before, i see them as scammers, they might not be, but I see them as, becouse the always come with like a level 138, In my head, i think ' That's a recover acc'..

If they are Forum addicts that join atleast 6 months ago, i feel pretty much they're not a scammer, and not a spammer aswell...

Guru+ i often trust, but only 4 months + there too. Post count does matter some times i think. But Vouches, do they? Yes some I think acctuly.. I feel safer trading with Skele_master then with a random leecher, lol. Or someone as... Trip_fagex? i think he got like 30 vouches and is a apprentice ^^, I do feel safer trading with them

 

True.You can trade with leecher,who has 10 vouches?Why not,if the vouches are legit?

 

It doesn't matter whether they have 4,000 posts or 400 vouches, someone can still scam if they are fed up with Sythe and the price is right.

OT: Vouches prove trust worthiness.

 

i just joined this month and i'm trying to become more trustworthy but the problem is that i only post on things i feel like i should.. i see often people with a avarage of 5-6 post a day while they are forum addict while i only got 2.5 ish post a day.
i wouldnt scam someone but that's just how i do things in life, thats very rare on sythe i already made some people get banned for "try" to scam me.

 

Just because they have post count doesn't mean there trust worthy, they simple might have never traded or something and then decide to scam.

Look at the date they joined if you ask me, thats better than post count.. but also look at how many vouches AND what the vouches was for.

 

In some cases it can, because it takes alot of time to get a decent post count, but I for example, joined 2 years ago and got under 90 posts, yet I have many vouches that can prove how trusted I am.

 

You cannot gauge the trustfulness of a person by it's post count but by the content of his posts.

 

I mainly look at the join date and vouches. A person who signed up at Sythe yesterday is a lot more likely to scam rather than someone who has been here since 2007 or so. Also for vouches, its not the number of vouches that I look at. Its the quality of vouches. For example, if someone might have 20 vouches, but they are all from people with 5-50 posts. But, if someone had 10 vouches or so and a few were from guru/mods, they would be a lot more trustworthy.

I use the post count to join date ratio and vouches along with what the vouches were for, like a vouch for completing someones tut island isn't as good as having a gold shop and selling lots of mills, it also depends on how the person acts.
