Did you use to Stake?

Did you use to stake in the duel arena before the trading/duel arena update?

I had multiple accounts. One named p--i---e. The other p---i-----e. At the time they were both the same combat level and in-game the names looked the same. Also these type of names were hard to look up. I would run about shouting "staking 1-5m armour on p--i---e". People searched that account on high scores. It looks like a bad(for that combat lvl) rune pker. They glady staked armour on. However i would say "need to bank brb" and come back on my other account. This guy was a tank pure and owned everyone at his combat level. I would wear the same gear as the previous account however switch armour to barrows during the 1..2..3 FIGHT! and own them. This got highly addicting however as i would often make 25-30m per session (about 6hours game time). Doesn't sound like much compared to todays runescape economy but at the time yellows (i collected yellows) were around 60m. Also at this time in runescape the duel arena often had 500+ people looking for duels. To many people, my account looked like an easy kill.

I also dds/whip staked on my main for stakes upto 20m. I never done any "big" stakes simply because there is to much chance in runescape. I would rather do multiple smaller stakes than risk huge amounts in fewer stakes.

 

Yep I made one acc for staking and tricked people and made some good amount of mils haha and on my main I loved boxing people and winning some whips

Yep. Rune-boxed. 40 defence, 30 attack, 50 str or something like that.

All I remember is I owned.

 

I used to mage duel with flames of zammy + charge or blood barrage/blitz. 40 def 96 mage 31 pray, won quiet a few whips/robins. I hated dds duels.

Funny story: A level 120 dueled me and offered his purple phat vs nothing. I quickly accepted being low combat he thought it would be sure win. I barraged him and farcasted till he was half hp. He kept clicking me with his dagger out ran up to me and spec'd for abut 40ish damage. refroze him splashed a few times he unloaded another spec and i died with him being 10ish hp lol. I laughed so hard when I thought I had it. dying was just hearth wrenching lol. Sooo close to a free purp.

 

I'm sure that everyone used to do this..

 

Actually most of my friends only did funning duels and most never wanted to stake more than 100k

 

I had a level 3 boxer named B---aw--x or something around there, I forgot the name but he had a couple mil.

I did dds/whip staking on my account Dome hunter (Anyone realize what it says? lol) before I just gave him away. So if you ever see him online, it's not me =p

 

Oh the good old days of pre-trade limit era staking.

 

I had an account called Unique G0d which i staked on very often and made a shit load of money. I also boxed on my main, 99 att, str, defence, range, mage but low prayer so it looked was a lower cb lvl. Whip fights and boxing made me over 10 phats but it was banned for something :S...

I had a maxed melle,1 pray guy.I was owning like evry one,if im not getting lagged or cheated.My internet was great,i did like all 1st dds spec,that made me won.My account had ~200m on it on that time prices,but got banned for rwt.

 

yess i was awsome 86 att 99 def 84 str... pwned with veracs fights and also

90 def 74 att 64 str on my ranger he pwned in veracs aswell

 

i used 2 wear verac and stake 50k at a time

 

I always did 5mill stakes, I did mage only and range/melee only fights.

The trick with mage is in obstacles, you barrage them, the stand on top of them, so they cant attack you, then you keep casting and after each cast you instantly walk back on top of where his standing, it was one of the best staking tricks.

for Melee/RAnge, most of the time they would use melee and i would use range, all i had to do is get obby rings ( yes, best part because i disable shields, and they think they will win), then i hit them, i run AROUND to the other side of the forfeit box, and range them over the forfeit box. The funny thing about this trick is when you run around, they get stuck on the other side, so if they wanted to attack you, they had to manually click back to get back to you, I honestly wish they brought it back.

 

Yeah i did stakes with my 75 def pure, dfs

 

I used to dds/ whip and box on my pretty good main in the 100's I used to stake a lot started with 20 mill then got up to 1 and a half phat sets and lost it all to 1 guy that got really lucky 4 times in a row even though I always got first hit and I had better stats then him. Then I went around swearing at mods and everyone and got perm banned. Some people will probably know him. I recently got him unbanned but can't remember pass
Also used to stake on my barrows pure that had 70 attack 60 strength 70 defence earnt about 100m on him from verac staking but then I transfered onto my main and I lost it

 

I staked low amounts.

 

I used to stake every time i played, no arm just weapon slot only, dds and whip. i also used to box. also i made around 200-300m when the maul glitch was there tripple max spec on no arm please?

this was all done on my at the time level 120 made around 1,000M then sold the account once trade limits were put in place :9
