    Post count does not matter?

Lots of leechers/members say that post count is not related to trading in sythe. I think otherwise. The more post count that person has, the more effort he has put into the account and therefore less likely to scam.

What are your views on this issue?

    Post count does not matter?

Anyone can get post count. Scammers purposely post a lot for people like you to fall victim to them.

You should rely on good vouches.

disagree. scammers get like 20 post count.. then say there not new...

    Post count does not matter?

500 posts can be achieved by anyone that focuses on it, in little time at all.

    Post count does not matter?

Post count dosen't matter, there's legit people who may just be inactive on the forum. I have low post count but it dosen't make me a scammer and your post count dosen't make you legit. Which is why every trade should have an MM :D.

    Post count does not matter?

I look at post count, join date, but mainly vouches. I still wouldn't trust a leecher with vouches though.

    Post count does not matter?

I think a combination of join date+post count can be worth alot of trust, especially for somone like me. I've never needed to make many blackmarket trades, but does that mean im not legit?

Now would i trust somone with 25 posts but 5 vouches? no because all you gotta do it do some skill training in rs section and you got vouches quick. It all depends on post count, join date, and vouches among another when it comes to seeing if somones legit or not.

I agree with luke. A combination of post count plus good vouches is important.

    Post count does not matter?

I agree, I see a couple sythe members with 500ish posts in one month. Thats insane. I trust those people less.

    Post count does not matter?

says the kid who just joined this month with 100 post count. Post count doesn't mean anything at ALL. It is all about the legit vouches, or respect from another site. I do trading on playerauctions.com because it is safest way for both parties, and I only post on sythe when I have something useful to say not like all the noobs who joined in the last 3 months and have 500 post count and think you can trust them cause they like to spam "nice account" or "good work" on someones post

    Post count does not matter?

I definitely agree with this. Vouches, post count, and join date don't really prove anything by themselves. It is a good combination of the three that shows how legit someone is(you can be a little free about join date, at least a good combo of the first two). Even then, you can never be 100% sure about anyone.

    Post count does not matter?

It's all common sense. Put yourselves in their shoes. If they have 1000 posts in a year period, do you think that's worth more than your 5$ trade? Shit like that. Post count shouldn't be relied on entirely... but it's a good factor.

Also, vouches shouldn't be counted on entirely either. I mean, you see leechers with 20 vouches all the time. People trade vouches, fake them, and get ones for weak things.

You need to combine all of them, including stuff like donations and popularity on the site. If in doubt, demand a MM, or at least be sure to get sufficient proof to ban them if anything goes awry.

    EDIT:

^ LOL, I kinda went into lecture mode in the end

    Post count does not matter?

Look at it this way, would you trust someone with 500 post and 6vouch for doing serverice or something under $10, or someone with 100 posts and has 50+ vouchs?

    Post count does not matter?

I have very few posts, and I don't even collect my vouches, but I've never scammed and never plan to. There's certainly people with 200+ posts who are scammers, or they may just be waiting for one huge scam after a series of small popularity-building trades.

One thing that helps is to donate, to show your dedication. I did it because the site needs to stay up, and it also helps me get off my feet, as most people wouldn't have trusted me otherwise.

One thing I try to do though is to find people who are trustworthy, and then I offer to go first to prove I can be trusted.

    Post count does not matter?

I trusted JUSTIN, with 700+ post count. That got my level 99 beast of an account scammed, leaving me with just a chat log and him saying, "lol. don't trust people. Thanks for the account."

    Post count does not matter?

It all depends on join date, and vouches. + their rep in sythe.

Post count is just how much you say in the community. Not how much you DO.

    Post count does not matter?

Agreed with this. Take a look at the vouches a person has. Do some research and find out what kind of trade took place, who it was from, and find proof of purchase.
