120k P/H Alching!


Introduction and Overview

No one likes losing money right? That's the reason you clicked the title! You wanted magic experience at a lower cost, that may even be profitable if you alch the right item!



Requirements

The requirements are simple, but not everyone can do it. Sorry to disappoint.

31 Prayer
55 Magic
Items to alchemy
Runes for alchemy (Fire staff recommended)
One combat bracelet (4) (A larger amount would mean less grand exchange trips!)
One ring of dueling (8) (A larger amount would mean less grand exchange trips!)

What are you doing?
You're using the spell high alchemy, while collecting 2 items that respawn every 42 seconds on a world with 450 players (Spawn time is faster on worlds with more players! )




The Guide

Step One
Use your combat bracelet (1) - (4) to teleport to the monastery. After that, go in the east door, and run south toward a ladder. Go up it.





Step Two
After you're up the ladder. Go open the north door, and go in. There will be a monk robe set on a table, Pick it up, and stand beside it. You will be casting high alchemy here, while waiting for the robes to respawn (Between 32 - 42 seconds per respawn)



Step Three
After you obtain a full inventory, rub your ring of dueling and teleport to castle wars, there is a chest there that you will use to bank.




Step Four
Repeat until all your high alchemy spells have been used, or until you are out of teleports. When you are, Go sell your monk robes, buy more of the supplies you need, and continue.

Calculations
There are 60 minutes in one hour. There are 60 seconds in one minute.
That is 3600 seconds per hour. The respawn rate I used for this was 42 seconds (2 seconds to pick each piece up, 38 seconds for the set to respawn)
So 3600/42 is equal to 85.7, Since we are calculating how many sets we can get a hour, there are no decimals, so we round down to 85.
If you get 85 robes per hour, and each robe set is worth 1465gp. You obtain a total of 124525gp.
You lose a total of 0 alching time. (You CAN use high alchemy while picking up robes, and while teleporting, and while walking, just click the teleport, wait for the action, and then continue on with what you are doing.)

The XP per hour rate is alot bigger with alching ^.^

 

Nice guide, exactly how much xp per hour would you get doing this?

 

Out Sanity, That's around 130k/hour - 150k, but it wastes alot more experience alching (You can't alch for about 4 - 4.5 seconds while casting telekinetic grab, and you have to run more when you bank)

And mnbasdpoi123, It's about 75k xp/hr or more. It's however many casts of high alchemy you can do in a hour.

 

Any suggestions on what to buy in masses (1k+) that allows you to break even while using this guide?

I personally use maple longbows (u), I lose price of nature rune - (192 - Price of longbow.)

And if anyone has ANY suggestions for any guide, tell me and I'll make one =)

 

Though if you where both alching and getting wine of zammy its not only profit but your getting wines of zammy which make you profit. But you do have a point here that selling robes makes money. Thanks!

another way to make 200k= an hour alching is to do farming (rannars, snaps, toadflax herb seeds) works great. and balances out the loses.
