    Hosting a raffle

I will be hosting many raffles on this site, and many others.

Raffle tickets cost $5 each, and you will be competing against 49 other people.

This 2week raffle will be, a brand new xbox 360!
    http://www.xbox.com/en-US/hardware/x/xbox360elitesystem/default.htm

That is the system that you will get. This raffle is also being hosted on a few other site's, and only 50 people will get in. So the first 50 people to send the payment will win. You can purchase multiple tickets, the max is 3, I will refund you if you purchased more than 3.

At the end of the 2 weeks, or when I get 50 people who purchased a ticket, I will email the winner. You will give me your address and name, and I will send you you're xbox 360 elite.

When you purchase the item, make sure you put your email as the note.

Purchase the ticket by clicking here.

    Gl to you.

    *NOTE*
If this is in the wrong forum, please move it. Thank you.

Oh, so you're giving a $300 Xbox 360 away by selling $250 of raffle tickets. Pictures of the Xbox? Also why not let a trusted moderator manage this raffle for you?

I have not purchased the xbox yet. And who say's it would cost me $300? And by trusted member you mean you? And by manage?

I don't see why I should be attacked by someone when I am selling raffle tickets.

Btw, the raffle ends December 6.

He,like anyone who has viewed this thread, is skeptical for a couple reasons:

    1. This is your first post
    2. Your name suggests you've only come here to "raffle"
    3. This is one of the easiest ways to scam
    4. You have no proof of you being legit

Not saying your a scammer but look at the facts kid:embar:

Yea I understand where the both of you are coming from. I understand completely, is there anything I can do to gain your trust? I joined a few sites to host my raffle's, this site is the only one where I received a response.

And luke, yes I did only come here to host raffle's. I was asking my friend if he know's any sites that I can host it on and he said sythe.

So yea, anything I can do to gain your trust? I will do my best to do it.

I never said member, I said moderator. Manage as in take all the money, and when he has 250, you can ship out the xbox to the winner, and he'll then send you the 300. Also this is the wrong section since you're not actually selling a non-virtual item. You're selling virtual raffle tickets.

Oh, well I can't really do that, because like I said I'm hosting it on a few website, and gonna put it on some more. And really? You're receiving a real item, so i figured it would go here. But if it's in the wrong section, can someone please move it? Thanks

I don't see what the big deal is, if you ever feel unsafe once you purchase I will gladly give a refund. It's not really a big deal :p

As far as I know, there's no section for raffles and to be honest, they should only be handled by staff members.

Grave I see where you're coming from. If the tables were turned I wouldn't trust me either. I'm new, this thread if my first post, I understand.

But it's a raffle, everyone has a chance of winning, everyone has a chance of losing. If staff decide that only they should do that, I would understand. But till then I don't see the big deal about me holding a raffle =/.

Not to mention this is against the law. You either need to be a Nonprofit organization or need a lottery license. No one i allowed to charge people for a chance to win anything unless mentioned above. As you many have noticed McDonalds got in trouble for this with the monopoly game pieces and now you may send a self addressed stamped envelope to an address and get a game piece in the mail for free. So highly recommended mods lock or delete this thread.
